4.0 out of 5 stars Eclectic and compelling with wonderful chord progressions, July 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Conversations (Audio CD)
Very entertaining, a bit quirky but wonderfully original and refreshing songs. Lyrical tapestries, terrific melodies and some cool tunes are all here especially the title track "Conversations", "Magesty" and "Free Beer" which is a frat house anthem if ever I heard one. Phish, Dead, DMB fans take note. This one's for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars clean, great harmony and raw talent-, June 10, 1999

Why is it that new bands have such fun recoding-this band is talented and enjoys their work-all members seem to relate well and are strong individuals in their own right-I hope they become successful while preserving their own sound-nice to know that rap has not disallusioned the truly talented bands. Where are the record companies when you need them. Good Luck.

This is music that'll get your fingers tapping and your feet moving! It's a blast of offbeat rhythms and bass lines that can't be beat. I'm waiting for their next release. Consider it mine!

4.0 out of 5 stars Go See Them Live, May 12, 1999
By A Customer

Caught Here Nor There recently at The Quiet Woman in Hoboken, NJ. They had added an electric guitarist who smokes as well as a percussion player. Definitely creating a buzz around town. One pint turned into 8 as I had to catch both sets.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't miss with this, April 28, 1999
By A Customer

Finally, an original band that's playing more than just your average 3-chord love songs... Here Nor There really can't be categorized--they blend folk, rock, jazz and blues with strong harmonies and serious playing. Their songs are thoughtful and upbeat--this is music for music fans and a band that should be heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mix of musical sounds- listen and discover the talent!, April 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Conversations (Audio CD)
The songs are original and funky. It's so refreshing to hear talent these days- there are enough remixes and copy-cat renditions out there . The band is quite an impressive mixture of funk, jazz, swing and rock. I would like to see more of their work. Just listen and you will cerainly enjoy....
