Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Irwin A. Weisberg on October 4, 2013
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This series of insightful interviews with a very private man elicited his true feelings about war, peace, health, the economy and just about everything else. And because some of the interviews were with close friends, like Mel Brooks, the results were amazing, indeed. Now, after reading Catch-22 seven times and actually having known Heller, I can begin to understand the depths of the man. Combine this book with his daughter (Erica Heller's) "Yossarian Slept Here" and you will learn more than you ever thought possible about Heller or this country.
