Not only did I buy a copy for myself, I bought copies to give to my friends. Whatever one might think of RB, I for one would have to acknowledge he has introduced a very radical and different way of thinking about human behaviour which actually works. I have used his techniques and principles on a daily basis as a doctor with benefit to both me and to my patients.

I was taught by OF (and his business partner, Brian) and feel learning NLP was one of the best things I have done.

This book distills the principles of NLP and applies them to everyday life and our problems as we trek through our lives. It could be called "how to live a happy life" "Life, and how to survive it", or "how to live a successful life", but I feel this might be an overused and over simplified title for what this book teaches. The title of the hardback book was longer, "Conversations, Freedom is everything and love is all the rest". I feel it gave a better idea of what the book was about.

This book works. You will feel better after reading it, but you may not get the best from the book reading it like a novel, read from cover to cover and put down. It is best to treat it like a novel and a workbook, and you will feel an awful lot better if you do the exercises!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have August 11, 2009
By A. Lips
Format:Paperback
Conversations with Richard Bandler: Two NLP Masters Reveal the Secrets to Successful LivingThis book is a " must have " you now, like a pair of nice shoes or the latest technical ting. But as a pair of shoes goes out of style or new technical tings comes along all the time. This book will give you a great life long value, only by reading it you will start to change your life for the better. This book is written with such love to us as humans and to help us breaking the chains and let more freedom and love coming in too our life's.

The book is fantastic written it is like be on a seminar with Richard were you change only by listening. The book takes you on a journey trough all the big questions in life. The book is filled with great insights and easy to follow steps to make changes so that you can have more freedom in your life. There is also some easy exercises in the book that will help you change even more.

When I read the last chapter in the book tears was coming out of my eyes, as it was such a nice and lovable book. I also realized that I in someway had change very much only by reading the book. I even discover when brushing my teeth, my wrinkle between my eyes was gone.

This is a book I will return to over and over agin as an old best friend for advice, support and happiness. This is a book that should be given to all kids in the school, teachers, to all parents, your best friend and spouse.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Delightful Voyage November 29, 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Richard Bandler has described Neuro-Linguistic Programming as an "attitude and a methodology that leaves behind a trial of techniques. While all three are represented, "Conversations" delves almost exclusively into the attitude, and philosophy.

The book is largely in the form of stories, mostly those of Fitzpatrick's, woven around portions of conversations he recorded with Richard Bandler. The conversations are vintage Bandler, and go a long way to capture many of the concepts he presents in his seminars.

This is a guided tour for self discovery and new ideas, not a collection of NLP techniques. There are some great exercises to go through, and there's even an Easter egg hunt. I found I didn't agree with all the concepts and world-views presented, yet I came away with a sharper sense of my own values along with some new perspectives.

I read the book cover to cover, return to it from time to time. It's well worth experiencing.
