5.0 out of 5 stars Not the Same FASSW
First thing, I can't say this album is nearly as chaotic or heavy as Delenda. But they still have the element and it's still beautifully done. There is a LOT more clean singing in this album. The into "Most of Us Are Normal" is 100% clean singing. And it's not a bad thing. You'll still find the same aggression from these guys.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very different, very bad.
If you loved the first two albums, stay away from this one. The singing (yes they sing on this album) is too emo'ish than the brutal growls of the past albums. I was very disappointed with this, I listened to it a few times than gave it away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not the Same FASSW, May 29, 2008

The clean singing meshes well as it did in the brief moments of Delenda. I also felt like the tempo was taken down a notch. It's still intense, but not anywhere near as intense as their previous works.

That being said, this is a solid release and it shows a lot of maturity in their song writing ability. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you were a FASSW fan before, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this release despite the clean singing. It's still them, and their style still carries over.

5.0 out of 5 stars "You see what becomes of thieves here", November 22, 2008

I will echo some of the sentiments stated before. Though not as crushingly heavy and chaotic as Delenda, this album still brings it. The melodic vocals are implemented well(so don't fear) and I've grown to appreciate FASSW's maturity as a band. I also love how this and Delenda are "concept" type albums as it gives the lyrics that much more power IMO......

So to sum it up: Conversations is a great follow up to Delenda. Very intense, very layered, very good.

standout tracks: Self Admitted and Leaving This Earth

5.0 out of 5 stars melody done right, July 12, 2008
This review is from: Conversations (Audio CD)
delenda was brilliant and when like others of that album i was at first put off by the abundance of melodic singing in this album. However i have come to love this album immensely, the melodic singing parts are so catchy, the intro is excellent with its climax. The band has progressed but have still maintained that heaviness and great songwriting. The music isnt as complex and crazy as the last album but still great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different, but definitely not bad, May 31, 2008

This review is from: Conversations (Audio CD)
Delenda is probably one of my favorite albums ever released. So my expectations were high for Conversations. When the album started I was a little turned off at first. The entire "intro" has clean singing. Which is very different for these guys seeing as how there are very few singing parts on Delenda. The album itself is slower than Delenda and not as chaotic or technical really. Yet it still has some amazing songwriting on display. Will Jackson's voice is great and fits the music perfectly, even without the more "deathy" growls and screams. He has definitely improved his voice and puts it on display to great effect. Overall, an excellent album that shows a band maturing into their own sound as opposed to trying to make it big by selling out.
