Book Description

This is a collection of my essays on women’s rights, gender, and discrimination. I think too many times when people think of feminists they think of radical, socialist, elitists looking for rigid and extreme switches in role identity. I do not think this is the case in general. I am not a feminist in the strict sense of the word. I am not looking to dominate men, or trade our society - which is patriarchal - for one that is matriarchal. I am an equalist. I want us to stop defining our goals, talents, and limitations based on the genitalia we have at birth. I think the real progress will happen when people stop seeing each other based on gender or biological sex and start seeing each other as worthy human beings who just want peace and love.

More About the Author

Greetings! My name is Beth and I am so excited to be an author on Amazon Kindle.
On May 13, 2012 I graduated from GCU with my undergrad in Psychology. It took me 5 years to complete it, but I am very pleased being part of the GCU family. I am back at GCU for my graduate program because frankly, I can't imagine fixing something that is not broke or finding another place up to par.
In my current role at work I am a Behavioral Care Specialist. This is a position which humbles and challenges me every day. Hopefully, I will be able to use my education and experience in order to help the people. I am also in the process of developing my own personal coaching practice. My husband and I have 4 children and we live on a cozy hobby farm in Wisconsin. We have horses, cats, dogs, and lots of gardens. I am a lifelong student, my hobbies include anything that is something new to learn or do. I am currently taking piano lessons, studying philosophy, gardening, baking, crocheting, sewing, reading, writing, preserving the harvest, and enjoying my family. They always tease me that moss can't grow under my feet! I want to experience everything in life that I can. The world is too magical to miss!
I decided on Psychology as my major and my main interest because I love to discover how human behavior evolves and reacts to the world. I want to be able to ease the suffering of others as much as I can and I have found that changes in perspective can turn a glass from half empty to half full. I have also come to realize that my growth as a person and fulfillment of my authentic self is most progressive as I study the mysteries of human psychology. When I reflect on who I was before I started the BS and who I am today I can see a many faceted change in myself. I think more critically, I am slower to judge, more patient, and I feel more whole as a person in a holistic manner, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am a question person, I always have questions, and I want to know the answers. It is my hope that as I continue my journey, the doors inside myself which my education will begin to open, will be thrown wide and not only will I be able to answer the questions I have, but also the questions I haven't even asked yet.
I started a blog in fall of 2012 and in short order became addicted, you can connect with me at OR
