Hose Conversion Adapters kit for Intex 1500gph and 2500gph pumps

First off, I don't know why anyone would order these adapters from any place other than Intex directly - the manufacturer. They sell them for about $2.50ea and you can get two, delivered anywhere for about $10.

Second, while they do attach nicely, they do cause the rest of the hose and attachments to stick out and pull down on the protruding 1 1/4" black nozzle as another poster indicated.

Finally, there is a design flaw in that the black gasket, on the end of the adapter that attaches to the plunger valve, is mated to a rim that is hollow. You can see this by just pulling the gasket back on that edge. Once assembled everything will work fine for a while. But after a few minutes, the gasket gets sucked into the hollow rim and causes air to enter the system resulting in a "buzzing" around the adapter and significantly reduced water flow - probably not good for the pump either. The rim really should be a solid flat surface for the gasket to mate to. This is probably caused by the a pump that is designed for 1 1/2" openings moving water through the a 1 1/4" adapter.

I considered fixing this by filling the hollow edge with liquid resin available from a craft store. I ultimately just cut out the 1 1/4" inflow and outflow black tube and installed the strainer/nozzle assemblies that came with the pump, ditching the adapters altogether. Everything works fine and I have an 1 1/2" path through the whole system. An added benefit is that the assemblies now don't pull down on the pool liner as they are closer and have much more surface area in contact with the liner.

I ordered this item as I had plans to upgrade my pump and upgrade to a saltwater system. My Kids were anxiously awaiting the use of the pool for the summer. I ordered the filter pump from another company on Amazon because it was cheaper. CMS then CANCELED my order because I did not order the pump from THEM!!!! With todays economy this is deplorable!!! To punish a family who is trying to save a bit on shipping and order a product from someone who is offering it cheaper than your company!!! I have never been so disgusted!! Amazon shouldn't even allow your company to sale on their site!!!

The adapters were easy to use, installed very quickly, and work well. I put the adapters in about two months ago, it took only a couple minutes, and hooked my new larger pump. From other reviews of the adapter, I was unsure that they would work as well as they did, I found that the black plastic liner inside the adapter was more durable than I expected and that it made a leak-free seal.

I bought these adapters so I could upgrade my pool pump size. This product does not fit properly to the Intex pool/hose system. I makes a REALLY loud sound when the pump is on, as air gets into the converter and "wobbles" the rubber ring inside it. When we called the company for a solution he had none. I have now sent 3 emails about returning this for a refund and have received no response. Not to mention, they charged $6 to ship these two small items in an envelope with no packing slip. I would not recommend this product, or this company, to anyone!

These hose adapters go on very easily and seal up perfectly, the only problem I really have is that they are a bit heavy. I have the 16ft easy set pool and these are heavy enough to the point that they pull down on the pools hose attachmants, I was a little consered that with that weight like that they may eventially slip off and produce a leak but they havent they have held up great.

i upgraded from a 1500 to a 2500 and when using the adapters the pump did not want to work because the adapters were letting air into the pump and did not function well. overall i would definetly not recommend this product don;t waste your money.

This product may be a good product is I received instructions of how to install it with the current system. There were no instructions included and I do not see how to connect the old hoses from the pool with the new adapters.

I bought this product and ended up just using an exacto to carefully cut the hole a bit larger. The adapters suck air and reduce the flow, Plus you can't use the cool directional water jet that comes with the larger pumps. I bought the 2500 gph pump

Don't need adapters if you purchased Intex Salt Water System Year 2010 Model. System already comes with adapters.

Our 1500gph pump failed on our 18' x 48" Entex Easy Set. I wanted the more powerful pump so I ordered the 2500 gph. They way it was worded on Amazon, it looked as though I would need these adapters, but it turned out I didn't. (the hoses that came with the new pump were the same size but built mush stronger. Use the new hoses.
