5.0 out of 5 stars A Rare Treasure, February 12, 2009
This book is a wonderful treasure for readers and cooks alike. The book combines a historic, social and culinary treasure trove of the Jews of Greece.

The text is clear and easy to read, printed on good quality paper and illustrated with faithfully researched drawings created by the author himself. These illustrations create an additional dimension to the journey the reader takes through this rich history of food and custom. The recipes are invitingly portrayed and are closely linked to the narrative.

This book would make a thoughtful present or a valuable addition to your own collection. Hats off to Nicholas Stavroulakis for what can only be described as an intense labour of love and dedication to record for posterity these tasty and delightful recipes in such a rich historical context.
