Cute ideas, but not practical for use, February 14, 2009
This review is from: Cookbooking: The Delicious New Way to Scrapbook (Hardcover)
There are some cute ideas in this book if you're doing these as gifts, but unless you also plan to provide a separate, organized printout of the recipes, these are not practical for use in the kitchen as cookbooks due to all of the things glued onto the pages.
Also, there was no information on proper preservation or safe reproduction of these old original recipe cards/scraps of paper--remember, they may have food stains that might transfer to the rest of the scrapbook paper if you include them in the original scrapbook.
Again, cute ideas, but not as practical as say, offering to organize someone's recipe collection as a gift.

Great idea, October 17, 2008
This review is from: Cookbooking: The Delicious New Way to Scrapbook (Hardcover)
What a great idea. Combine scrapbooking with a way to save all those recipes you can never find while keeping the memories of special meals with friends, kids, family in one place. I liked the way each chapter featured a story about a real person's special occasion and then gave scrapbooking ideas on how to keep pictures, menus, recipes, etc. I also thought the suggestions for creating different types of scrapbooks was good. Using a lunch box to save the kids' favorite recipes. Or a decoupage tin for keeping favorite breakfast recipes on the kitchen counter. This book is filled with ideas and the way it's written, you can do any of them easily.

Cute project ideas, June 3, 2009
This review is from: Cookbooking: The Delicious New Way to Scrapbook (Hardcover)
This book is filled with super cute "scrapbook" project ideas for the family, including: Grilling recipe booklet for Dad, cocktail recipe book for your trendy sister, dessert recipe folder for Grandma. There's also some yummy recipes inside: Saucy Apricot Chicken, Spinach Salad with Pears and Cranberries, French Toast with Baked Bananas. Although the recipe ideas are just included to get your creative juices flowing, it doesn't hurt that they are also tasty choices for the family. This would be a great book for moms (who have some extra scrapbooking supplies on hand) and their kids who enjoy making gifts and crafting.
