What a wonderful book this is! There is an interactive table of contents and it is organized by the type of cookie, such as Oatmeal Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies,Nut Cookies. I've been baking cookies for over 50 years and I was able to find several recipes I've never seen before and can't wait to make. I can assure you, there will be some of these cookies appearing in my Christmas cookie trays this year!

Maida Heatter, a long-trusted name in baking, said "Happiness is baking cookies -- especially when they are as delicious as all these are." I cannot agree with her more. Because of time constraints, I tend toward the easier recipes in this book, and there are so many to choose from. My children finish a dish before I can even get to them. There are many, many recipes to try, and they range from simple to sophisticated and sweet to savory. In the end, one needs only one good cookie. But it is nice to know that, with this book, you will have many more favorites from which to choose!

Great book, tons of yummy easy cookie recipes and well organized. I have made some of the recipes from it and every one has been delicious. Great book for novice bakers. Also a fantastic present when added to a gift basket that includes cookies baked from this book.

The peanut butter Chocolate chip cookie recipe does not call for butter as all the other peanut butter do. This made a terrible mess when the flour was added and I had a bowl of peanut butter flavored flour. Adding the butter and more peanut butter from another recipe that had the same sugar and egg content fixed the dough. Not an easy feat when trying to stir. After the fix they were delicious.

There is a special reason that this book received one star from me. It is not for the recipes which are pretty unusual and I will def. make some of them. This book appears to get stuck halfway through and repeats the same recipes...almost in a loop.

Although I gave this book one star, if this problem is corrected, I know I would increase my rating. Again, the one star is not for the recipes and this book's other high star ratings proves it.

ETA: I found when I redownloaded the book, the issue was corrected! As I stated above, I knew that I would love this cookbook and I did. This book, not only has some cool recipes, but some really unusual recipes as well that I will LOVE baking!! Recipes are laid out easily and simply for even the most novice baker. For me as an advanced baker, I loved that there were some unusual recipes that I can WOW family and friends with. There is just something for everyone! So, issues corrected, that is why my rating went from 1 star to 5 stars.

Recipes sound great and different and some quite unusual. But in just a quick review, I found numerous typos or just plain errors, and am afraid to try any recipes, for fear of wasting ingredients and time and ending with something inedible. One recipe has paraffin wax as an ingredient.

Arghh I love this book so much I hate it but..... gained 10 pounds testing the recipes! The book should come with a warning label that says tiny trolls will sew your clothes smaller each night..Get it for your reader then you can take it with you!
