Each recipe, even if it wasn't my favorite, came out perfectly. The recipes can seem a bit involved but once you've cooked through enough of them you start to recognize the techniques they use and it doesn't seem as complicated.
The slow cooker recipes are not dump and go recipes. They require pre-cooking to get the right flavors and not have the meal taste one dimensional. They are also short cooking meals. If you expect to place something into the crock pot at 7am when you leave for work and eat it at 12 pm, these aren't going to work for you. Thees recipes take, at max 5 hours. They are small portions in a small crock pot. But they taste amazing! I love these recipes and have made a few of them multiple times.
The one big roast section is also great, I'd love to see an entire book on this concept.
I think all of the books are great but 2011 and 2012 are my favorites at this point.

I made the smothered pork chops last night. I always read the entire recipe through before starting to cook, but somehow the 90 cooking time escaped me this time. Read morePublished 10 months ago by James R McCullough
This is a much bigger book than I expected. Being on a restricted diet there is a lot of recipes I have to modify but the recipes help me to know amounts to use for subtitutions. Read morePublished 21 months ago by BLBB
Every recipe they make is incredible. Some of the recipes are a little closer to "cooking for three," but I don't mind since I like leftovers.Published 22 months ago by Reuben
