Cooking with Love is a heartwarming contemporary romance story that leaves you wistful for a love identical to the one Justin and Shelbi share. The emotional and sensual tension between Shelbi and Justin strikes the perfect pitch.
Shelbi is a food critic from a renowned family of doctors that eats at the restaurant Justin owns and lets him know how she feels about the food via a food review in the local paper. Justin is a man that never got over the death of his mother and as a result is weary of doctors and what they represent in his life. They begin a guarded journey of trying to find love.

I felt my heartbeat pick up every time these two shared a scene. I like that Justin is a man's man that knows his only hope at finding everlasting love lies within the budding relationship with Shelbi. He gives her the confidence she needs while she gives him purpose.

The secondary characters in this story are strong and relevant. I love when big supportive families are included in a storyline. It is refreshing when brothers and sisters show trust, respect and a healthy dose of love for each other without conditions. I can't wait for Rasheed and Bria's story.

This story moves at a good pace and each chapter unlocks my heart a little more than the last. My favorite line "who is in control" ..have mercy, I love that scene. Cooking Up Love has all the critical ingredients that make this story sizzle. If you believe love can overcome all obstacles this is the story for you. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

This was my first read by Candace Shaw and I really enjoyed this book! This was a great romance story about a sassy food critic name Shelbi and a hot sexy restaurant owner name Justin. The chemistry between the two was off the charts from the very beginning giving this book a great story line. If you are into GOOD contemporary romance stories then this is the book you need to read! I am really looking forward to reading more books by Candace Shaw. You have a new fan! Job well done!

Going in I thought this was going to be a sweet romance. It was sweet, but a whole lot of spicy as well. I loved Justin and Shelbi from the very beginning. The way they met was just pure genius. They had wonderful chemistry, and their interactions were really what love stories are made of. I didn't expect it, but their love scenes were really erotic. They were making love, and you could really feel the sensual-ness between them. What a great start to this series, and I can't wait to read more about the Arrington family.
