It makes your imagination say hmm and your taste buds go ahh,

This review is from: Cooking with the Chicken Man (Paperback)
It's an easy reading cookbook on everything from the chicken to the egg. I've already tried the deviled egg recipe and it was a hit with my family every time I made it! The recipes are interesting and easy. The advise pieces make you say hmmm, why didn't I think of that before? The recipes are so diverse that you can WOW your family many nights and they won't even realize your just feeding them chicken night after night. They will have a new-found respect for chicken and you too if you don't tell them it came from a book, but make them think it's your own wonderful imagination! They may find out when they come to the kitchen to find out why your laughing so hard while your cooking. The antedotes are so hilarious. There are also pictures of the author in the book and he looks so family-type that you think you've known him all your life. It makes you want to see pictures of his other family members so that you can see just what kind of "stock" this Chic! ken Man comes from. The best thing I can say about this book is the same thing your family will say when they wrap thier lips around each and every chicken recipe your serve them, "Ooh it's so good Ma/Dad"!

THE CHICKEN MAN RULES !!,

This is the favorite of all my cookbooks! Every recipe I have tried has been excellent. Try the BBQ Chicken Balls for party food; your guests will love them. My favorite is the Cornbread & Sausage Stuffed Chicken Legs (I substitute breasts for legs and it works just as well.)

Leonard Thomas has written the best cook book I have ever used. The recipes are very simple. The food is wonderfully delicious and they fill up my house with tempting aromas. Even my children are paying attention to what's going on in the kitchen. Get this book.... and then thow away all of your other ones.... this is the only cook book you'll ever need.

Hey, I am a young bachelor on the go! My work affords me the opportunity to travel, so I eat at a lot of different restaurants across the country. I have tried everything from chicken to caviar, so I know good food when I taste it. I went to see the ChickenMan after a colleague told me that she had tasted the ChickenMan's food in NY's Times Square and said that it was "good eats!" I was lucky enough to be able to meet the MAN and more importantly taste that delectable Chicken in a glass receipe. Boy was I impressed. He is a very personable guy, but more importantly, his cooking was great!! I immediately went out and bought his book. I tried the curried chicken receipe and it was a hit! I am not a great cook, however, the receipes are easy and fun...so I recommend that all young bachelors by a copy of this cookbook, it will save you in a dating pinch.

I thought that the recipes were good the writing concise and the stories were great. I happen to like reading authors who tell the stories behind their concoctions. The Chicken Man does leave out some very important info and ideas utilizing brines as well as marinades and should drop me a line to find out more. Gary the BBQ STUD

Had the pleasure of seeing you the foodtv network with david raggirio, and boy did your outdoor chicken cookout with your family look good! couldn't wait to see if you had a cookbook out, and you did, i bought it.... went through and marked all the recipes i couldn't wait to try...still trying to figure out which recipe is the one shown on the show i mentioned above....anyway my first recipe was "Owens plain ol' baked wings" i followed the recipe to the letter! honey, those wings still ain't "crispy on the outside!" it took me turning up the heat, draining the water left in the pan, and cooking those wings yet ANOTHER 45 minutes before I saw crispy! please tell me that was a typeo? I am giving you another try tonight with the Potato Herb Chicken Breasts....stay tuned
