I bought this book in hardback in 1987 and still enjoy it constantly. The curries are simply amazing and use only basic ingredients. The recipes are set out in simple terms but in a language that adds to the exotic qualities of the food: bhunao thrice, give dhungar method No. 1, and put on dum are expressions that have quietly established themselves in my cooking vocabulary.
I couldn't recommend this book more!
