This is a great cookbook. First, it is a pleasure to look at, with gorgeous full-color pictures for every recipe. It's easy to follow, with clear instructions and ingredient lists.
Most importantly, the recipes work. The recipe for sesame chicken with apricots and snow peas is fabulous, and there are many more that look equally wonderful.
Although this is a cookbook with healthy recipes, some of them are a bit higher in fat. The book notes that when you eat one of those, it's a good idea to balance out your diet with some lower-fat foods. In general, though, this book gives you some great ideas for eating in a healthy way without sacrificing taste and pleasure in food.

Jane Fonda has often been known as a fitness and nutrion guru. This cookbook, published in the 1990s when she was still married to Ted Turner (as many recipes are noted to be "Ted's favorite")' provides a wide variety of lowfat, healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners, deserts, and snacks. Fonda provides suggested menus and food pairings as well as helpful notes about how to reduce sodium or fat content from different recipes. It is important to note that this was a cookbook created when the "lowfat" diet was in style, thus many of the recipes contain little to no fat but may contain a higher caloric or sugar value than you would desire. Therefore, you should pay attention to the nutritional value placed at the bottom of each recipe to see if it fits with your current dietary needs. What I like most about Fonda's recipes are that many of these dishes are "one pan" meals that can be made easily and quickly yet are healthy for you! For instance, she has a great recipe for bison lasagne that is simple yet delicious and packed with veggies and lean protein. Don't miss her introduction and the helpful tips throughout that will teach you how to eat smarter and healthier. Additionally, you will see that she pushes a well balanced diet that includes plenty of vegetables, lean proteins (bison seems to be one of her favorites) and fruits. This is a great cookbook for those who want to learn how to eat healthier!

This is a terrific and easy cookbook with healthy recipes you can feel good about. Easy to follow even for those of us who don't really know our way around the kitchen. I've been using it for years.

Decades had increased my admiration for Ms. Fonda, which was elevated to the highest by reading/utilizing this phenomenal book! Its diversity, organization, presentation in all respects is an inspiration.

simple easy to pick up and put down. well laid out for quick recipe reference - and I rely on Jane Fonda having the funds [and i suppose her integrity] to do the background research on her products ...

One of the best cookbooks I have, and my new favorite. I love the low fat recipes, no fancy ingredients and easy to follow. I think everyone that enjoys good eating will love this cookbook.

Hardcover and wonderful colored pictures. Nice for cookbook lovers and cooks. Recipes are healthy and unique so all worth a try.

At best an okay book. Nothing to brag about or recommend. Oh well, the Goodwill will appreciate the donation. Nice photos, but the few recipes I tried needed much improvement. Too bland, and boring.
