Everyone that has reviewed this book so far has bought the hardcover, so I would recommend that. The kindle version is not easy to use. There isn't any pictures or table of contents that's helpful for finding recipes. Also, when you bookmark a page it doesn't tell you what recipe you've bookmarked. A lot of the recipes only have partial nutrition information as well, which is not helpful for weight watchers dieters. With that being said, the recipes are great! I would recommend you buy the hardcover...just don't buy the kindle version.

I like to have all the CL recipes in one bound book, rather than torn out pages from magazines. And for the money, this is one of the best cookbooks you can buy. Rarely a recipe that is less than great. Everything I've made so far out of this one has been a keeper.

So the recipes in the book are great.

My problem is that they aren't laid out in a way that makes any sense to me. They are separated by month, not by type of food or meal. The lack of pictures doesn't bother me, as much as I can't easily skip to a section because I know exactly where the "soups, stews, chilis" are located.

It is always great to get the next year's cookbook every year. I get the magazine each year, but now I no longer need to keep stacks of magazines around to make my favorite recipes from the magazine again! Like having the multiple index option at the back to look up recipes.

Cooking Light Recipes are always delicious !! I especially love the 20 minute recipes, fast and easy. I am never disappointed in these books. I have been getting them since 1999 and I wouldn't want to cook without them !!

Love cooking light and love to get their annual bookas it carries all their recipes. That said love that everything is EASY to make. 5-10 ingrediants. And only take me anhour and we're eating healthy. A+

Before I purchased this Kindle title, I read some of the reviews and noted that several reviewers were disappointed. Among the problems mentioned was the fact that the links in the Table of Contents didn't work.

I downloaded a sample, and the links in the Table of Contents worked fine for the content included in the sample. I decided to take a chance on the title and ordered the regular Kindle edition.

I've clicked on the Index link in the Table of Contents and ended up at the start of the index. Clicking on items in the index worked as it should. So far, all other links in the Table of Contents have led me to the correct page/location .

On my iPad Mini, I can view two pages in landscape view with no difficulty. Definitions appear when I click (or touch and hold on my iPad) the word in question. On my Kindle Keyboard, landscape view is possible but I can't get a 2-page spread. Definitions are available on the Kindle Keyboard, as well.

I would agree with other reviewers that more illustrations would be helpful, but it's not something I'll lose any sleep over.

I think the layout, generally speaking, has not been adapted well for ebooks. On my iPad, page breaks are not necessarily in a logical place. The font is wildly (and unnecessarily) different in size in places, often within one recipe. Bold or italicized text would add emphasis more effectively -- and not as jarringly -- than the much larger font in all caps that seems to be the most frequent mode of emphasis. In general, I find the font a little too big. Easier to read from a distance, such as when cooking and looking across a counter at the recipe, but too big for browsing easily -- at least, too big on my Mini.
