Though the recipes are good it would have been more reasonable at $12.95! Look for FREE online recipes before purchasing this book

Yes! Finally , a great cookbook for low carb dieters!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cooking Low Carb: And Loving Every Bite (Paperback)
Thank You Ms. Boose! I have not only read the book, but tried several of the recipes, as well. I have been "Low Carb" for several years and appreciate the excellent variety of recipes for foods I thought I could never eat again. I especially enjoyed the desserts. I look forward to enjoying these dishes with my family. The instructions are easy to follow and the pictures are helpful. The low carbohydrate diet has revolutionized my life by stabilizing my weight and blood sugar. I have renewed energy and endurance. This cookbook has helped me recapture my joy of cooking and eating good food and at the same time helps me stay on my food plan.

You Must Count SPLENDA Carbs, too.,
By Kerry (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cooking Low Carb: And Loving Every Bite (Paperback)
While Suzanne has many good recipes, the carb counts are not accurate in the dessert area. She has failed to count her sweetener carbs in her dessert recipes. Splenda has 24 carbs per cup. I'm sure that Equal Spoonful has carbs, too. Probably, nearly as many. I have made her desserts and have been in a stall. Can you say hidden carbs? I trusted her counts! I also think she asks too much for her cookbook considering the size of the book, the simplicity of the recipes and the numerous typo errors. I expect to see an edited, professional book for her asking price. I did find useful recipes, but I had to modify the ones that call for flour and cornstarch (low carb no-nos)and substitute with Xanthan gum. She refers to recipe pages that aren't accurate, and in a few cases she has the wrong count for the wrong recipe. Her table sometimes has column lables and sometimes not....Not real consistant. Her effort is to be praised, though. We need more people to contribute to the low carb cause.
