This is one of the best mexican cook books I have come across.
Good sensible recipes for the home cook wanting to try that something different or special. Very easy to follow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, exotic recipes with great information, February 26, 2006

I just bought this book last week and have tried two recipes, both extremely unusual and astoundingly delicious. I cooked with okra for the first time (scared off in the past by others reviews of the vegie - turned to mush, really sticky) and was really impressed with the taste and texture. This book takes me in new directions and unchartered territory with easy to follow well laid out recipes and plenty off photos to help you choose a dish and follow the recipe.

Also, the book has interesting information on the cultures, history, and cuisine of mexico, south america, and the carribean. I have only glanced at this thus far, but look forward to curling up with a good cup of spicy hot cocoa and this book.

A must have for any chef's library.
