Cooking in the Nude (Howell) September 1996
Even before you've had time to finish writing thank-you notes, you're beginning to establish a busy routine that leaves little time to cook a romantic meal. With recipes like Poulet it Again with Me, Get Me to the Church on Thyme, and Lusty Lambkins, the honeymoon will last forever.

3.0 out of 5 stars What a great bridal shower gift!, May 29, 2000

I bought this book first for my sister's bridal shower, it was a hit! The recipes are pretty basic and straight forward. I intend to buy a copy of this for each of my bridal showers, as well as a copy of Joy of Cooking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute cookbook for couples, January 9, 2006

I have an earlier edition of this book (1987, different publisher), but it sounds like the content hasn't changed. I've only tried six of the recipes - either because I didn't have the right ingredients in stock and didn't have the expertise at the time to feel comfortable substituting, or had to stay away from the two mushroom appetizers because my husband's allergic to mushrooms, or the broccoli or squash recipes because he doesn't care for either one of those, etc. For newlyweds on a budget, this is probably not the book for them to buy themselves because they're probably not going to be using the lamb or veal recipes anytime soon - we still haven't tried the one rabbit recipe, but then we never buy rabbit - but it would make a great wedding present or shower gift. The recipes I have tried are delicious. There's a little bit of everything represented: beef, chicken, fish, pork, plus the above. The recipes include preparation times, which is nice. In fact, I was on Amazon looking for other books in the series, so even if you only make a few of the recipes, I think it is still worth checking out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun recipes for couples, February 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Cooking in the Nude : Just Married (Cooking in the Nude (Howell)) (Paperback)
I received this cookbook as an engagement present, and I've made almost all the recipes. They are easy to follow, and I love the fact that they are based on two people - I dislike having to divide portions in most recipes because they are usually written for 4 to 6 people.

The dishes have all come out delicious. It's a cookbook I turn to quite often.
