People who sign up for this knife have to understand that they enroll into a club that will be sending them overpriced junk they don't need, on monthly basis. This is very well known business model that takes advantage of the customer being lazy and negligent. The knife itself is very good, but the knife is only a teaser in carefully crafted scheme designed to take advantage of you. You have to read fine print and do the right steps. If you play it well, you will have this knife for $3, like I did. If you don't, you will pay hundreds for not much. This is not so much a knife as a gamble, who will outsmart whom.

Do not buy this knife or support this company! Online, I signed up for a "Free" knife. "Only pay shipping charges." Once they get your credit card, they sign you up for a subscription at highly inflated prices. And they make it difficult to impossible to cancel your subscription. The knives are heavy and appear well constructed, but I can find as good or better grade of steel in a tin can. It is not worth the price. Do not support this company that engages in such ripoff practices. Amazon you should be ashamed of yourself for carrying their merchandise.

Having a reoccurring charge/shipment is a very common practice when offering a "just pay shipping" promo. If you had read the terms and conditions when you signed up, you would have realized this was a subscription service, not a one-time purchase. This is Amazon and you are expected to review the actual item, not the company you purchased it from on a third-party website. I'm sorry for your experience, but perhaps in the future you will choose to read the legal agreement you are signing prior to submission of your credit card information. Please take the time to edit your review to reflect the actual product and not the company you dealt with.

I looked at the website and before entering in any credit card information, these terms are presented in a readable sized font; so it is you all who are at fault for not taking the time to read it:

My Review:
I did not like this knife, it just did not cut as well as my other knives did. I also do not like the handle, it is a little slippery. I purchased this knife elsewhere and received it for $3.00, so it was not a horrible deal, but I definitely would not pay $15 for it from Amazon. I ended up giving the knife away to a friend and she's told me she loves it. She now uses it has her primary knife and is ordering a few more. I guess it just depends on the cook, I did not like it at all but my friend loves it.

Respectfully,

Miss M

I ordered this knife as a free item and paid 3.00 shipping through a trial offer. I have to say the knife is pretty good. good quality and very, very sharp. so sharp i wont let my 12 yr. old son use it. even though the knife is good i didnt feel the price of continuing my membership was worth it. now from what i see on amazon , you can buy the knife for about 13.00 plus 6.00 for shipping. now to me, the knife itself would be worth it without a membership. I called and discontinued my membership and the lady offered one or two options to keep me on but i told her no. she was very nice and unsubscriped me. so if anyone wants to do the trial and get it for 3.00, go ahead its worth it.but make sure you unsubscribe cause it will cost you 80.00 amonth.

Since receiving item, putting it to good use. Performance of knife is what I expected, sharp, sturdy and comfortable. Price of item is better than some advertised items being mailed etc.

I like this style of kitchen knife. I use it exclusively when I prep in the kitchen. The size, heft & performance wins me over.
When I saw it on EBAY at a great piece, I had to get a spare.

I purchased this knife outright here on Amazon for $12 including shipping and didn't sign up for anything. It has a smooth handle and nice medium weight plus it has its own soft storage case that fits perfectly and protects the edge. It was very sharp so I just hone it to maintain a keen edge. Its forged and well made and its certainly better than any knife I've ever purchased for $12. Unlike a couple others complaining about being ripped off by some subscription this is an "actual product review" and has nothing to do with any subscription. Its just a normal Amazon purchase review.
