Chef T is owner of The Amish Garden, a bakery and produce wholesale business, and writes Christian books under the name Sicily Yoder. She is a Prayer Warrior for 3ABN, a foster mother, and a former award-winning Land O' Lakes and Alouette third-party food broker.

About the Author

Sicily Yoder used to me a book merchandiser for Chas Levy.  Having an uncle who was a Plain Minister and having lived in a Plain home, she enjoyed encouraging customers to buy The Shunning by Beverly Lewis.  She also prayed for the book planogram to grow bigger for Christian books.  Jokingly, she told some customers that she was going to write a book.  After many months, those customers came back, but she had no book ( and not even the first page written.)  She has since made up for that and has twenty books on Amazon, four of which have been in the Top 100 Best-Seller's List, as well as many in the Best-Sellers Category Lists.  
She owns The Amish Garden, a bakery wholesale business and writes full-time for the ministry of Jesus Christ, her personal Savior.

Author Teresa Phillips has provided 10 old-fashioned recipes that will delight your palate with their old-fashioned appeal and taste. Included with each recipe is the processing time making canning easy, especially so if you know how to prepare the jars for the canning process. If not, I'd recommend purchasing the Ball Blue Book Guide to Preserving or the Complete Guide to Home Canning and Preserving (2009 Revision) book for guidance.

Some of the recipes you will find in this cookbook include Home-Style Ketchup, Pear Mincemeat or Pear Mint Chutney.

This "book" is so short it is more like a pamphlet. You get ten recipes for sauces and preserves which cut to the chase with an ingredient list and some abbreviated cooking instructions. It assumes you know, at least, the basics of home canning. If you don't, find a good book on home canning so your results are delicious and not disastrous.

I'm assuming it's all water bath canned. Nowhere did it say for sure. I usually pressure can a recipe that has green beans in it. So I'm hoping to make that recipe and that water bathing will be the way to process it. Otherwise it's a lot of work and expense to just go to waste. But I did think all the recipes in this book would be easy to make as well as tasty. So I gave it four stars.
