Editorial Reviews

Italy's house legend blasted onto the international dance scene with his #1 European single, "I Feel So Fine" in 2001, followed by mainstream recognition with the track "Satisfaction". This new album contains fifteen of this year's biggest dance remixes, from artists such as Depeche Mode, Moby, Fedde Le Grande, and Bodyrox.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, January 6, 2006

Karen Gill "Fish" (Coquitlam, BC, CAN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cooking for Pump-Kin (Audio CD)
If your a benassi fan, you definentally will not be dissapointed with this CD.

My favorite part of this CD, was that all of the songs blend together, so it sounds like one big song. It is very upbeat. Only a few tracks have lyrics in them, but it just gives it more of a mix.

The music is all tracks selected and Mixed by Benny Benassi for Pump-kin Music.

I'll include a track list because I see one does not exist at this moment...

1. "Don't You Want" - ZDAR (Tiga Remix) 4.56
2. "Zdarlight" - DIGITALISM (Voyage Mix) 4.46
3. "Galactic Ride" - SILVER CITY (2020 Soundsystem Re-edit) 5.26
4. "Time Slide By!" - LES VISITEURS feat. TOMMY SUNSHINE (Marc Romboy remix) 5.07
5. "Listen" - MOONBOOTICA (Chab remix) 4.38
6. "Flaskback" - SCANTY 88 5.16
7. "No Fun" - LOOSEHEADZ 4.48
8. "Washing Up" - TOMAS ANDERSSON (Tiga Remix) 4.30
9. "Who's Your Daddy?" - BENNY BENASSI (Electro Mix) 5.00
10. "Coincidance" - MATHIAS SCHAFFHAUSER (Trentermoller Remix) 5.31
11. "Acidazzo" - FRANCESCO FARFA 5.00
12. "Magnetic" - BELLONE 4.27
13. "I Don't Want To Come Back" - MARIO PIU' (Kiko & Gino's mix) 4.48

4.0 out of 5 stars Cooking for pump-kin, October 29, 2009
This review is from: Cooking for Pump-Kin (Audio CD)
I Have the version that is imported from australia, but I think all the cooking for pump-kin tracks are all the same, just different covers. This cd isnt that great really but the tracks that are good are worth four stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't get your hopes up., March 26, 2008
I only give this "three" instead of "two" because I respect Benny Benassi, but this "mix" is really a placid compilation of tracks that might sound better when mixed live, and with thousands of other people. There is no sense of flow or buildup throughout (except at then end, when it isn't worth it); there is only an unpredictable change of tempo.

The disc's only salvation is the tracks themselves, which are most often excellent when taken alone or put in a separate playlist. "Put Your Hands Up for Detroit" is of course excellent, as well as "Love Is Gonna Save Us" and "Dance is "Dead". But these aren't enough to save a mostly boring compilation.

I would suggest looking for the tracks you like instead. Putting them all together for close to $20 is definitely not worth it.
