She killed seven or more people for their Social Security payments which after her arrest were estimated to total more the $5,000 a month. She ran a boarding house where she was known for her generous and tasty meals.
After her conviction she began corresponding with Shane Bugbee and the interview and her recipes make up the book. The lady may be a serial killer, but her recipes are first rate.

We actually had a work potluck to sample some of the food we found in this book. It was very good, and all enjoyed. Good read and information.
