Muffins,
This review is from: Cooking the Three Dog Bakery Way (Paperback)
We used to have a 3 dog bakery here in michigan but closed down. My dog loved the food there. When I saw that there were cookbooks from 3 dog, I had to get them. The first thing that we made was the blueberry muffins. My Millie loved them. Great book to have if you are not able to get to one of the stores and have the time to make something for the pet you love!

Four Dogs Eating the Three Dog Bakery Way,
By
This review is from: Cooking the Three Dog Bakery Way (Paperback)
I recently purchased this book. Like others, I originally heard about Three Dog Bakery because of the book 'Amazing Gracie,' by the founders of Three Dog Bakery. We don't have a local Bakery so I thought it would be nice to try our four dogs on some of the recipes the Bakery suggested.
My dogs, in a word, SCARFED down everything I made. We've done a number of the cookie recipes thus far - all to the tail wagging delight of our four furry friends. We frequent a local dog park and not a dog turned up his or her nose at these treats. In addition to the fun, easy and healthy treats and meals in this book there are numerous entertaining and informative snippets of information for the dog lover. I would recommend this book to others who want to offer a healthy alternative to pre-packaged dog food and treats.

cooking for your dog,
This review is from: Cooking the Three Dog Bakery Way (Paperback)
I have been making my dogs food for about 5 years now and am always looking for new ideas. My daugter gave me this book as a gift and I have been having a ball with it. But, best of all, my two girls( 9and13 yrs border collies) are loving it!

You gotta love the three dog folks,
This review is from: Cooking the Three Dog Bakery Way (Paperback)
Bow wow! (that's hello in doggy language)I love everything about this book. The way it is written, the ease of the recipes and the naturalness in the ingredients. I have made the Peanut Brindle and Grandpaws Sunday Dawg dinner and all are delicious according to my two boys that lick their bowls. The title of the menu items are witty and cute. What I like too is that the book gives special occasion menus and menus for special needs dogs. The authors should open up a doggie restaurant serving not just bakery items but other recipes that are in the book!

Sure To Please Your Furry Friend!,
This review is from: Cooking the Three Dog Bakery Way (Kindle Edition)
My dog absolutely LOVES these treats and this book offers a full collection of delicious and healthy alternatives to pre-packaged (fatty) foods and treats. I made a batch of dog biscuits from one of the first recipes in the book and my dog couldn't get enough of them! All recipes are very easy to follow (very simple step by step instructions) and they're bound to please all breeds. I also recommend Treats For Dogs: 25 Dog Treat Recipes for Happier Healthier Dogs, another fantastic collection of healthy recipes that your dog will love!

Think I already had this book but couldn't find it and loved it so much that I bought another copy. Guess that says it all. Baked one of the treat recipes to celebrate the 13th anniversary of Bob (our dog) joining our family. He loved them! Made more than the 12 muffins recipe said--my muffin tin may be a little on the small side--so shared with friends. One dog carefully savored his in delicate bites. Another turned away from a store-bought treat from the pizza man because he knew I had another muffin in my hand for him.I feel good knowing that the treats have no chemicals, no preservatives, and no who-knows-what might be in packaged treats. In fact I don't even purchase packaged treats that are not American made knowing some of the unhealthy things that have been foisted on us in the name of "inexpensive" which turned out to be hazardous to people and pets. BTW, I ate one of the muffins, too. Very good! No sugar. Sweetened with honey. Moist from the use of unsweetened applesauce. All fresh, dog-healthy, human food grade ingredients. Can be frozen for a couple of months so one baking of an item lasts. Next week we're having a celebration dinner honoring the anniversary of the Katrina refugee joining the family. Entree will be from this book of course. Purchased a second Three Dog Bakery cookbook at the same time. Dogs and I are lovin' the good, healthy treats. Like Betty Crocker says, "nothin' says lovin' like something from the (your own) oven." Adopt, spay, neuter, love, feed healthy! Wags and licks to TDB! |
