5.0 out of 5 stars Great source for industry insiders
While this magazine definitely isn't designed for the home cook or casual culinarian, it's a really excellent source of information for industry insiders. As an owner/operator I've subscribed to Cooking For Profit for years and find that every issue contains some piece of information that relates directly to a specific project or problem I'm working on at the moment...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for the rest of us
Unless you have a resturant, this magazine is useless. I got it thinking it would cover Personal Chefs, but it is all about gas applences. Pass on it, it's boring too.

While this magazine definitely isn't designed for the home cook or casual culinarian, it's a really excellent source of information for industry insiders. As an owner/operator I've subscribed to Cooking For Profit for years and find that every issue contains some piece of information that relates directly to a specific project or problem I'm working on at the moment.

One note: Cooking For Profit heavily favors and promotes gas cooking equipment. But since my kitchen is almost entirely gas, I find it very informative in terms of learning the latest trends in gas equipment. It's a tech-heavy mag...lots of equipment overviews, etc. but every issue is also full of restaurant profiles and other valuable tips and ideas.

Again, this magazine is for professionals. Don't waste your time unless you're in the business or someone trying to get in (it'd be a great resource for students). If you're in the business, it's definitely worth the read!
