5.0 out of 5 stars Nice set
I'm a college student and just wanted a nice set to use for a few years in my new apartment. I almost canceled when the estimated arrival date was a month! I forgot all about it and the box came a week later. Anyways, it's a super nice set for me. Yeah, it's non-stick, so what. You don't need nunchuck skills, bow hunting skills or computer hacking skills -- Just...

3.0 out of 5 stars kept sticking to pan. okay for wet stuff.
kept sticking to pan. good glass lids, good price. but its so annoying when your cooking when everything sticks to the pan and ruins the form of your food. maybe i'm not cooking it right? I end up having to use alot of oil to keep it from sticking. I don't use this set as much as I want to b/c of this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice set, September 14, 2005

I'm a college student and just wanted a nice set to use for a few years in my new apartment. I almost canceled when the estimated arrival date was a month! I forgot all about it and the box came a week later. Anyways, it's a super nice set for me. Yeah, it's non-stick, so what. You don't need nunchuck skills, bow hunting skills or computer hacking skills -- Just basic cooking know-how. The metal handles get semi warm on the closest 1/3 to the pot when boiling something for an extend period. Even then you won't even need a mitt. The initial quality seems very solid, they look fantastic and have a nice thick base. The glass lids with the small vent hole are very handy for draining stuff and keeping the lid from bouncing all over the place.

Would purchase again if I had to do it all over. I'll be taking care of this set for a long time.

I've waited a little before I write a review... I cooked in these pans and they are pretty good. They do get hot, but don't they all do!

Overall excellent pans and of very acceptable quality!

My eggs do not stick to the surface:)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, February 21, 2011

I've been using these for two months now and have had no problems. Finish is excellent. Handles are excellent, good ergonomics and balance. Pick up a Calphalon for an example of terrible ergonomics and balance. This is important when you are moving and pouring hot things. The Cooks balance is excellent.
I've had no sticking problems. These are stainless and you can't treat them like those nonstick coatings but they will perform way better than those if you learn how to use them.
Works well with induction. Vent holes could be a tiny bit larger, they loose some steam around the edges. Definatly beats everything in the price range and beats a few more expensive ones like Calphalon. Has better lids than Cuisinart and better shape than KitchenAid.

This set has one good pot and one pan that can be used very often and it good quality also. the the bigger pan doesn't look that good its thickness also seems to be not 18/10. i have bought 18/10 grade steel from jcpenny before and even though this set is 18/10 steel as per its description. I think its not. the steel is thinner than i thought that makes food stick in the bottom some times.
but for its price its worth buying. i got it for even cheaper because i opened visa card with amazon. if you are buying as primary cooking utensils , i dont suggest but its good for add on.

I have to say I overestimated their use before placing an order. Yes this set is astonishingly cheap, but I got my "reward" for opportunism.
