Complete and total waste of time. Why are little girl's toys all such garbage? I'm so fed up with all this cheap plastic garbage that is advertised on TV to our poor daughters who just end up disappointed when they end up with a toy that either doesn't work right out of the box, or breaks within days. Rant over.

Oh yeah, refill kits with enough disgusting goo to make 4 small cake pops - $7.

This was one of the top requests on my daughter's birthday list. Unfortunately she is extremely disappointed. Yes, it was fun to make the cake pops but the batter does not fill into the cups evenly. If you like eating raw cake batter, then you might like the taste of these. The icing tastes good but does not cover the cake pops evenly as depicted in the pictures on the box. We couldn't even get the cake pop covered evenly to even try the cool sprinkle designs. Spinmaster obviously will make their money on the refill kits for these because if you're going to get any use out of this toy, you need to purchase their refill kits since normal cake mix batter needs to be baked. Not sure I want to spend the money on refill mixes for a poor quality product. Great idea but poor marketing. Would've rather spent the money on an electric cake pop maker.

My daughter was given this as a birthday present. We used it for the first time yesterday and was totally disappointed! My girls loved making their own cake pops but they had to shove their tiny fingers into the cake pop holder to shove the mixture down enough to fill each section. After refrigerating the cake pops we went to frost them and a few of them just fell off the sticks and into the frosting. The girls loved them but I couldn't even swallow the tiny bite I tried. If you have the money, buy cake mix and cake pop cookie sheets and bake them with the kids. They will have more fun and it will actually turn out! Totally not worth the money!

It took a lot of courage for my 6 year old son to ask for this toy. And, as a mother who wishes to encourage her son to be who he wants, I obliged. He could grow up to be the next great chef for all I know, after all! So when my friend asked what he might like for Christmas, I suggested this. Well I just don't have the heart now to tell her what a waste of her money it was, let alone how much it let him down.

Well, disappointed hardly describes this toy. The 'cake' itself is hardly more then a thick liquid that simply does not set into anything cake-like. Then the icing is just so thick that it destroys the poor cake pop. If you heavily water the icing down and fight with the set enough, you can maybe get one little cake pop out of it. But the taste, it's just TERRIBLE!

In the end, I will be learning how to make REAL cake pops and having my son help me. A lot better then this silly thing.

My daughter received this cake pop maker for Christmas from her Aunt. She did not ask for it but was excited because she saw the commercial and thought it looked fun. She also knew the catchy tune to the commercial which made me laugh. We followed the instructions and cranked the mix slowly. It did not fill the round holders evenly, so we had to poke the mix through the holes to get it to fill it in right. I also noticed the dispenser and pan did not line up the best. Next step, you put them in the fridge for 15 minutes. Strange to have no bake cake balls but we were intrigued. When they come out you roll them in the frosting. This was Extremely messy. The Frosting drips like crazy and ours was made on the thicker side. The Next step after that is to decorate. The stencil presses did not work, it actually took off the frosting down to the cake. We rolled them in the sprinkles instead. Let me tell you there is no way to make them look perfect like the commercial or the box and I am a creative, skilled Mom. Time to eat. If you like rubbery little cake balls these are for you. LOL. The frosting is actually tasty but the cake is horrible. Guess I should have known this considering it is no bake. Being this set is so messy we decided to make the second set of cake pops right away because once we are done with this we will not buy refills, it is going in the trash or to goodwill for someone else that wants to buy refills and try it. The quality of the plastic set itself is fine (easy to assembly, clean and take apart) but the food was not enjoyable. The upside my daughter and I had fun together. The down side they were very messy, and tasted strange. I would invest in one of those cute electric donut or cake makers instead.

Assembly was easy, even with a 5 year old rushing me along. It was easy to use also. But when it comes to eating these, gross is a major understatement. Like another poster said bake cake pops with REAL cake mix using a cake pop pan or one of those electric pop bakers that are out there. Don't waste your money on this one.

My daughter received this as a gift for her 6th birthday. There is nothing good to say about it. JUNK! The mixes taste horrible and the toy does not function at all like it is depicted. It is headed to the trash after one use. One star is too high of rating.

My six year old recieved this for Christmas. We decided to give it a try today and the pops all fell
apart when we tried to ice them. She spit the cake out in the garbage and said it tasted terrible.
Waste of time, money and the commercial is totally fake and misleading.

My 7 year old daughter received this as a gift and we both are thoroughly dissappointed. How did this product ever make it to store shelves? Cakepop cups do not fill, batter tastes horrible (what little there was), icing turns out hard, finished pops fall off the sticks. Overall, this is not worth the headache and there is no way I would purchase a refill pack!

Don't waste your money. The plastic pieces don't stay together. The batter is awful smelling, tasting, etc. What would you expect for non-bake cake? Thankfully we received as a gift. This product is just plain awful. You'd have more fun shredding cash in a paper shredder.
