Cool Boarders 2001 allows players to play as (and ride with) 10 different professional snowboarders. The characters include three-time North American Champion Todd Richards, six-time Women's World Champion Michele Taggart, U.S. Olympic Team Member Barrett Christy, two-time Female Freestyle Rider of the Year Tara Dakides, and Big Air World Champion Kevin Jones. Players choose from eight play modes, and challenge the pros to unlock hidden game features. Pro challenge mode lets players challenge top riders one-on-one. The 27 courses have layouts that incorporate wide-open, branching routes.

This is a pretty cool game, has much of the feel from cool boarders 2, that people seemed to like more than in 4, also now the game plays like tony hawk, where you beat levels to unlock more player and events, fun to play but i think you must be a fan of the series or really like snowboarding because tony hawk pro skater 2 sets the trend as far as extreme sports goes!

This is by far the best snowboarding game ever do not be fooled by ads for SSX Tricky that game is too weird. This is easily a better game.

Coolboarders 2001 is the best snowboard game on the market. The new characters look more realistic than in previous coolboarders.The game has many really well done details such as snow being on the board and falling snow. I played for hours the first time. It's challenging but a great way of entertainment. My mom even played with me. The two player mode is fantastic. It's an awesome game since I busted my knee and can't go snowboarding it makes me feel as if I'm really in the game.
