Bob Baldwin's covers of the standards on this CD as well as his own works are outstanding!!! Summer Breeze never sounded so good !!!!Anxiously awaiting the next album with much enthusiasm!!!

My first exposure to this artist was through the standout version of "People Make the World Go Round." Exceptional. There are hints of the Crusaders as well as more commercial smooth jazz artists, but Bob Baldwin does have a sound his own. Playing many of the instruments himself, he clearly has serious chops and a great ear for arrangements.
Nearly all the songs have a strong sense of swing and looseness that is absent from a most of the calculated (and overly produced) smooth jazz genre found on the airwaves. I'm looking forward to hearing if the rest of his stuff continues in this vein as this disk is 10 years on.

Bob works magic on the ivory. His collaborative efforts with Marion Meadows add to this masterpiece. Summer Breeze has rocked the charts on NY's CD 101.9 for a while now. I'm a drummer and can groove to these jams all day. He's blessed with the gift of creating good music that all can enjoy.
