Editorial Reviews

Award winning classroom technology teacher, IT director and parent talks about education, technology, students, teachers, effective use of technology, and how to connect students around the world with projects in meaningful global collaboration using powerful social media tools.

More than just teaching and technology, Cool Cat Teacher also shares inspiration and motivation for lifelong learning and harnessing tools in productive ways to improve your life!

Blogs, wikis, ebooks, iTouch's, cell phones, and virtual worlds are all part of this blog with real world examples from the classroom and around the world. It is time to stop blocking these amazing tools and using them in the classroom to promote learning!

Vicki Davis has three children and has created massive global collaborative projects including the Flat Classroom Project, Digiteen Digital Citizenship and has been featured by bestselling books by Thomas Friedman (the World is Flat), Don Tapscott (Grown Up Digital) and Curtis Bonk (the World is Open.)

She loves to have fun and use technology but also believes in balance. Stay up to date on current classroom practice with technology.

Kindle blogs are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can read them even when you're not wirelessly connected. And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, blogs on Kindle give you full text content and images, and are updated wirelessly throughout the day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Cat Teacher Blog is Amazing! January 15, 2011
I have been reading Cool Cat Teacher Blog for more than 3 years. The author Vicki Davis shares a wealth of information on topics that are relevant to me as an educator and as a parent. I find valuable information, links and resources on every blog post. I had the pleasure to hear Ms. Davis speak (standing room only!) at an Education Technology conference and was impressed and inspired by her global message!

Cool Cat Teacher Blog is a must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Up There With The Best - Cool Cat Teacher January 15, 2011
By Lee
Vicki Davis has been teaching and blogging for many years and has been an exemplar in her field. Many other teachers and bloggers (myself included) have learned a great deal from the information she shares, not to mention her style and ethics. She offers great information on current trends in education and using technology in the classroom and best of all, she shares her experiences with global projects in a simple, friendly manner that anyone can understand and replicate. She is open and easily accessible.

You can feel Vicki's passion for education from reading her posts. You will enjoy reading Vicki's blog. Great for beginning and advanced teachers and bloggers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Feed isn't really suitable July 21, 2010
I write blog reviews for The Kindle Blog Report.

I'm vacillating in how to rate this blog. There are too many links to the web, videos, some of the articles don't feed over in their entirety...normally I give such blogs one star and advise people to check it out on the web but not via the Kindle.

On the other hand, the articles that do come through are pretty interesting.

So I guess I'm saying, give it a try with your two week trial period. If there's too much static for you, unsubscribe.
