Love the bed itself; however, this bolster shrinks even when using cold water and hanging to dry. Mine will not fit the bed at all now. Additionally, the zipper broke right off when I tried to replace the pillow into the shrunken pocket. Save your money.

I have an older Shepherd with a fair amount of arthritis. At night he used to get into the shower cubicle to keep cool - but I was concerned that the floor was too hard for him. So I purchased the K&H Cool Bed 3 Large Cool Cover Bolster Sheet, Cappuccinoand he loves it! He also seemed to be less stiff in the morning. The bolster is a little flimsy and one of better quality would improve the product a great deal.

My dog has an autoimmune disease which causes sore joints. She was on high-dose prednisone for awhile, which caused her to pant heavily and seek cool areas of the house. So I purchased this bed -- with the bolster pillow -- in order to provide a comfortable, cool spot for her.

It took a bit of time to entice her to use it, since the water motion freaked her initially. But by occasionally putting her treats on the bed, eventually she got used to it. Now she sleeps there often.

I keep the bed in an enclosed, unheated porch, and in our northern climate, the bed is consistently cool. We haven't yet got into hot summer temperatures, but I expect when that happens the bed won't be quite as cool. It needs to be kept out of direct sunlight, of course.

I've heard from other dog-owners that their dogs wouldn't use cooling beds like this, which made me hesitant to purchase one. Maybe they bought other brands, I don't know. But I highly recommend this bed, especially for dogs who need a cool, cushioned surface to be comfortable.

We have had a Cool Bed 3 Large for more than 1 year now and our pup loves it, even during the winter (we live in Southern CA). About a month and half ago, I saw the bolster sheet and decided to give it a try. This is almost the only bed that our pup sleeps now so we have to drag the set around the house several times a day (past favorite including one very expensive memory foam bolster bed). The bad news is the sheet SHRUNK even though my wife followed the washing instruction to the T. I contacted Amazon and since it was more than one month, they referred me to the manufacturer. The customer service representative at K&H (Wendy) was very helpful and courteous; she provided instruction as how I can send the bolster sheet back for replacement. During our conversation, I mentioned that our Cool Bed 3 seems to have a small leak and she informed me that the bed itself has 2-year warranty so I sent both back with receipts and am waiting for the replacements. Kudos for super great customer service!!

I took 1 start off because the bolster sheet shrunk after only 1 wash and as much as I applaud the super great customer service, I am a little weary as what to do when the replacement needs to be washed again.

I pulled this out of the box and thought, "what a cheap piece of crap". The material is a thin loose weave- linen like and the bolster is very flimsy poly fill. However, the all 3 bolsters do have separate zippers, so you cane change them out with a firm foam if you want. Also, you really need this thin, loose weave material in order for the cooling effect of the bed to transfer through. Thus, 4 starts for flimsy bolsters and regular, high price. (Luckily, I got mine in warehouse deal for $10!)

I bought this dog bed because i live in Miami Beach and the temperature is hot everyday and i have a german shepherd who suffers from it..the dog bed looks good and i have it few months now and it doesn't leek but its not cold at all!!!!its a water bed and my dog likes it cause its comfortable but he still sleep in the kitchen tile floor or the bathroom cause the bed isn't cool enough even i placed it in the cooler area in the room and filled it with ice cold water but the bed is not cold at all it doesnt keep my dog cool from the heat ,plus the gel or sponge in it gets lumpy when u take the water out of it ..I don't know why people rate this item 5 star the bed not worth it..

I rec'd my package. I was looking for a Bed with just the fabric as I once had previously. I didnt realize this item I had purchased had elastic around the edges of the fabric that extends. I believe another item fits in there. I would have like a little more description or photo showing this. The photo listed doesnt seem to represent this important detail. I will figure out how to make it work. I love the color though its identical to the picture shown.

My German Shepherd loves this Cool Bed as his daybed. He loves to hang his head over the bolstered sides or completely rolls over on his back wedged into it. I enjoy watching him enjoy his new bed and cover!

I have a bernese mountain dog who loves his cool bed. The bolster sheet has been very helpful in keeping the plug in the bed as he is prone to pull it out and flood my living room if left to his own devices. The sheet is linen and while the bolster is somewhat wimpy, my 120 pound pup can rest his head comfortably and that was what I was going for.

We have a total of 4 dogs in the house so a cover sheet for the Cool Bed III is paramount. I love that it's washable. Very delighted with bed and with its cover. Highly recommend!
