About the Author

Suzanne TrocmÉ is a writer and journalist specializing in interior design, architecture, art, and fashion. She is Special Projects Editor for Wallpaper* magazine and a contributor to The New York Times Magazine and French, German, and Russian Architectural Digest. Author of five books: Attention to Detail, Classic Chic, Influential Interiors, Retro Home, and Fabric. Suzanne recently undertook her first furniture collection, all of which is "Greenguard certified," for the Lenoir, North Carolina-based Bernhardt Design, which has recently won a gold award in the the NeoCon 2006 seating design category, awarded by the International Interior Design Association.

This is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious books on interiors and architecture on the market today, by an author who seems to know what to look for that will interest people looking to build or at least live in these types of environs. I am well impressed by the book, EXCEPT, there were three or four pages ripped out of the book, which essentially ruined this particular copy. I have requested another complete copy from the supplier and Amazon with little or no response. The supplier, obviously unbeknownst to them of the mutilation had offered to send me a return packaging packet AND refunded my purchase price, which I truly appreciate.
My problem is that I REALLY WANT THIS BOOK, albeit with all the pages clean and intact, to include in my extensive personal library. I don't really think I am being demanding for the book I originally ordered in good conscious.
Again, the book itself was/is extraordinary, and I really DO NOT fault either supplier for this error. I have ordered many books from Amazon over many years and will continue to do so as I can afford them.
