As a Jamaican person, I found this movie very patriotic and inpirational. The film captures the true meaning of the Olympics and is entertainingly funny. The soundtrack was equally impressive, Wailing Souls being the highlight of the album. Highly recommended for reggae fans of artists such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, Peter Tosh, Aswad, Big Mountain, etc. Overall and exceptional album.

If you loved the movie, you'll love this CD. It's a feel good CD which you'll play repeatedly. Great mix of jammin' music with melodic tunes. You won't be disappointed, guaranteed!!

Production is sunny and bright (what else?), but why did they leave off "Rise Above It" by Lock, Stock, and Barrel? Nice soundtrack, regardless - particularly for those long, gray, hopeless days in the dead of winter when the idea of doing something crazy doesn't seem so crazy. (Apparently, "Rise Above It" is available on the extended soundtrack released in Europe).

This is Music that makes you smile! You can picture yourself on a Jamaician Beach. Catchy tunes you can move and sing too. You too can feel Jamaican with this CD!

This CD includes many neat songs and even the Jamacian Bobsled chant. If you like Reggae or anything simialr to it you will enjoy this CD.

Apart from the Jimmy Cliff track which is, what can one say...an anthem? a classic? on a planet by itself? this CD is worth buying just for the 3 Wailing Souls tracks. Wailing Souls is an under-appreciated reggae band. These 3 tracks are far out there. The rest is okay. JC and the WS make this soundtrack CD what it is - 5 stars with bells on.

I used to own this soundtrack years ago and lost it somehow. I really loved it back then and for some reason recently was thinking about it again and made the purchase. This soundtrack has many catchy tunes! They are all fun, uplifting songs that put you in a good mood! I've owned several soundtracks in my life and this has always been one of my favorites. I loved the movie and the soundtrack captures it's essence :) Highly recommend if you like a more "modern" reggae sound especially.

How can they leave off Rise Above It from Lock, Stock, and Barrel?? And to add insult to injury the version in the movie which is at a faster tempo and has whistling versus the official release of the song is nowhere to be found.

They said it was used but arrived flawless and early i might add the music is like modern americanized reggae but still enjoyable. Great music for any summer get togethers! Party on!

I already had this and it was scratched. Great if you like Jamaican music
