One of the best drum n' bass mixes, April 14, 2004
This review is from: Cool Step (Audio CD)
Brazillian really seems to be taking drum n' bass to heart, what, with the likes of DJ Patife and DJ Marky representing their scene it's only a matter of time before the slacking UK producers either lose the DnB crown or make some much needed moves. This mix album will satisfy anyone who enjoys atmospheric drum n' bass's sensual energy and looking for some jazz tinged sounds that are fresh. Brasillian samba, soul, and African drums decorate the fresh basslines and drum kicks throughout the mix. Warning to all those interested in heavy dark breaks-THIS IS NOT THE ALBUM FOR YOU. For for those of us who love Creative Source, Goodlookin', and Hospital tunes but have been yearning for a new twist, this is the album for you. Brasil for World Cup this year!

If you don't have it..BUY IT!!!!, November 30, 2004

I'll keep it simple. This is the kind of CD that can get people into Drum & Bass even if they have never heard it before. I work in a record shop, and when this came out I sold a ton of them just by having it play in the store. The Cd doesn't dissappoint ....and as a collector of tunes I LOVE the fact that this turned me on to a couple of gems that I had overlooked. tracks like "Esfera", "Futures Call" with MC Conrad,"81 is the Number",and the Amazing "Torch of Freedom" with Cleveland watkiss on vocals, just put you right on the beach, as far away from your troubles as you could get! It is a true reminder that Drum & Bass is "MUSIC" and reaches beyond just hard beats and bass...right to the SOUL! This is the music I will play my grandchildren when I tell them what Pop Pop likes to hear :)

the songs i like, i love, May 22, 2009

the songs i don't, i really don't. but that being said it is worth owning for the drum n bass fan just for "the way i feel" and track 13, forget name, it's the one where it's a female voice saying you know i want to/ you know i need to, that song is FFFRRREEEEESSSSHHHHH. the sound is really slick, which could turn some dnb fans off, but find the tracks you like, and you'll be happy
