I have bought similar colognes from Target and Wal-Mart and you could not smell the fragrance an hour later. Of course when I bought my Cool Water from Amazon it not only arrived about 3 days earlier than expected, the price was above and beyond all other stores and sites. The Cool Water fragrance does last atleast 6 hours which most likely means that it's not a year or more old.
