5.0 out of 5 stars Great Ideas!
This book is packed with great recipes you can use for drinking water-healthful and delicious. The photographs are beautiful and inspired me to try more recipes. There are so many interesting fruit and herb combinations which have unique and addictive tastes. I bought a nice glass pitcher to show off the drinks. This book is packed with great recipes you can use for drinking water-healthful and delicious. The photographs are beautiful and inspired me to try more recipes. There are so many interesting fruit and herb combinations which have unique and addictive tastes. I bought a nice glass pitcher to show off the drinks. My monthly artist group loved the Squeeze of Citrus. I bought the book for a sister's birthday present and she really likes it too. Highly recommend if you're bored with plain water and/or you want to make your water healthier. You will need a very good blender, a juicer for citrus, and a very fine large metal sieve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Book, February 16, 2009

This review is from: Cool Waters: 50 Refreshing, Healthy Homemade Thirst-Quenchers (50 Series) (Hardcover)
What a terrific book. No more need to buy expensive designer waters or sodas. The recipes in Cool Waters are so easy to follow and taste great. If you are trying to diet, they are all healthy and satisfying. I love Apio Rey, which is just as good as Dr. Brown's Cel Ray soda but without the calories and cost. Check it out.

This is a great book with wonderful recipes (50 to be exact) to flavor water with ingredients that are easy to find. Some recipes in the book are Squirt of citrus, pineapple and lime seltzer, honeydew-mint mist, rose water with lemon, blueberry twist, crimson dew, sweet tart, and mango ginger "beer" just to name a few. The book is hard cover and the pictures are beautiful.

This is the only book I've found in this topic thats worth the money. It has very good recipes --especially the healthy one --One thing I really like about the author was that he kept health in mind-- Now in days that deserve 10 stars. Most recipes books are field with low nutritious recipes and this one breaks that. I do think however that he forgot one major recipe that is Horchata which I love and it is very easy to prepare.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little book, April 1, 2011

For medical reasons I have to limit my fluid intake, so when I drink something it should be good for me and it MUST taste good. Of course, water comes to mind. I have been experimenting with flavors and "creative mixing" for years now...plus I was freezing "weird things" as my kids would say. This book gives me so many ideas and validates that there are others out there who (for whatever reason) enjoy water with a twist. I am very pleased with everything about this book and so glad I found it.

Cool Waters is an excellant launching pad to an endless array of at home sodas and coolers. The book is full of recipes and supporting naratives on why the ingrediants work together. This is not written for those interested in pouring sugar syrup into a Sodastream. More to the contrary the recipes are Lite and the pictures are visually refreshing. Makes you want to try every mix in the book..Have Fun......

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, July 5, 2011

I checked out this book from my library. After trying a few of the easy receipes, decided it was a must have for my personal cookbook library and ordered from Amazon. I have already made quite a few of the drinks. Directions were simple enough and you feel great drinking healthy, natural water all day long. I have also served up a lovely looking pitcher for guests on 2 different occasions. Everyone commented and how beautiful and unique the waters were and how easy they were on the stomach. Order this book and you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous!, January 1, 2012

This review is from: Cool Waters: 50 Refreshing, Healthy Homemade Thirst-Quenchers (50 Series) (Hardcover)
This is a great little book with lots of healthy recipes for making infused waters and cubes. I don't like regular water, but have to up my intake. This is a great way to do it! Amazon is still trying to fill my order as I guess they are not being published any longer!? The price on the back of the hardcover book is 12.98! The book is worth every penny of that. These independent people, trying to sell this book for ridiculous prices, have no conscience! If the publisher were smart, they would print another run of this book as the demand seems high.

If you want to pay a tad more in shipping costs, this book is available (or was last week) from Amazon Canada at a reasonable price!

This is an amazing book. I have made several of the water "recipes." And I haven't been disappointed once. I also turned one of my "waters" into ice cubes and everyone is amazed when they drink "still water" with these ice cubes in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars a healthy and tasty twist on water, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Cool Waters: 50 Refreshing, Healthy Homemade Thirst-Quenchers (50 Series) (Hardcover)
I happen to be one of the "folks out there" who doesn't drink enough water, and dislikes most herbal teas.
This book is truly a unique and one of a kind recipe book. I am now better hydrated than I ever was thanks to this book. I just can't believe how much better I feel on account of it (less headaches, better complexion, less hungry). Its truly the small things in life that make all the difference. It also doesn't take all that much effort to make these waters; the author gives you many options--you can use tap water and make your own seltzer/sparkling water with some inexpensive tools. The recipes can also be adjusted--I have experimented by adding a bit of grape juice, etc., and some tea to some of the recipes. Plus I bought a Prodyne pitcher infuser to facilitate the infusion part (though you could also buy a tea ball or cheese cloth). Its a very hands down, common sensical book, full of brilliant ideas; it is meant to improve the quality of everyday life. I highly recommend it. Cheers.
