I just received yesterday this Coolaroo shade to replace my old plastic-strip roll-up of the same size.
The order arrived quickly, with no extra shipping charge (might have been expensive seeing how long the box was). The shade does what it says it does; it blocks most of the sun coming in my picture window, and reduces the heat in the room we use most(where the TV is), and should reduce the fading on my new couch. I think it does a better job than my old shade. The only negative comment I have so far is that installation was harder than my previous shade. The Coolaroo has to be installed directly onto the house with screws, which really needs 2 people to do. My old roll-up had hooks that were screwed into the house, then the shade hung on its triangular-shaped clips (which could be slid left or right in case the hooks were not installed perfectly). I had been able to hang that old shade by myself, but not the Coolaroo. Also, the old shade was easy to remove/replace last year when we had the house painted; the Coolaroo will be more difficult when that time comes again.
