This shade is well made, sturdy construction, good value in the purchase price. It's also easy to install and simple to operate.

The best value, however, comes from my utility bill savings. The use of this shade on a particularly sunny window means that my house no longer has a 10 degree temperature rise in the kitchen each morning at about 11:30. Instead, I still get light through the window, but NONE of the heat or glare. It also means I no longer have to move my laptop to another area at this time to work. The shade permits a view outside when there isn't direct glare which means I don't have to raise & lower it just to see out the window.

Great product.

We live in So. Nevada and the heat can be miserable. We put these on our front windows and WOW what a difference it made. Also, if you need to call the company for help........they are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

I just bought 2 shades today, and they look nice and they work, but I have a couple of problems. First, there are plastic caps that seal the ends of the aluminum tube that runs along the bottom of the shade. You pry off the caps to install the rings on the bottom rail that secures the bottom of the shade when it unrolls. Well, a small amount of horizontal movement of the shade will knock those caps off. Once the caps are off, the rings will slide off, and you will lose the ability to secure the bottom of the shade. This happened to me within the first hour of use, and one of the caps fell through the deck and I cant find it. The rest of the caps are now glued on, and I recommend everyone else do the same.
The second problem, is that after securing the shade bottom and pulling the shade taught with the chain, the wind will force the shade to unwind and loosen. I will have to install something to wrap the chain around to prevent this.

On the plus side I can still see the view off my deck through the shades, and they make the deck a much nicer space, almost like a separate room instead of an exposed deck. The filtered light they let through is gives a very nice ambiance.

looks good and appears well made,only negative is that when it is a little windy shade blows real easy unlike my last rollup shade but used small bungy cords to hold it when in down position and appears to be working good.also it is a very good priced shade.

Great quality for a great value! We purchased this to hang outdoors to block some of the hot sunlight beaming in our front door in the afternoons. It works great! I can really tell a difference in the indoor temperature of our home when we have it down. Would defintely recommend this product to any homeowner!

I thought I was ordering Mocha, a single off brown color. Instead I got a stripped black and brown, and to me, extremely ugly. If that is what you really want, great, but please be aware of what you are getting. I'm sure Amazon will let me return it, but it did not come in a shipable return box, so it will be a pain to send it back, but I will do it.

Altogether, I purchased three shades for the screen porch. They look great and keep out most of the sun without restricting the view. However, one of the 6 foot shades has a different pulley assembly than the other 6 foot and 8 foot shades, and it is much harder to roll up and down. I'm not sure why the company changed something that worked so well, but this flaw precludes me from giving this product a five star rating. When ordering any of these shades in the future, I would make sure they had the original, easy functioning pulley system.

Attractive and well-made. Easy to install. The only shortcoming is the operating chain is a little short for the height I mounted it (nine feet). I can reach it, but my wife must stand on tippy toes. Chain length is fine for mountng heights 8 feet or lower.

Otherwise, it does a great job shading the sun while still able to see through it. I would recommend to a friend and may buy another.

The material is light weight and doesn't hang that well. It's a bit flimsy and creases when you roll it up. Also blows in the slightest wind.

These shades make our cover porch useable during the hours when the sun would hinder us from using this area. I had a canvas company come out to give me an estimate for something similar . Could not afford to spend $2000.00 dollars for their product with the same warranty that Coolaroo has to offer. Coolaroo has a more professional roll up system than what the competitor had to offer. They wanted me to roll them up by hand. Imagine that ! Way to go Coolaroo. Very nice product. They block the hot sun and allow the breeze to come through. I use the bunjie cords from Lowes or Home Depot that come in a small clear jar that have a ball on the end. Just like a gal would use for their hair, just bigger. They come up through my deck space between boards and then I use a small brass dog leash style clasp on the end to hook to the loops that come with your shade to hold them from blowing in the breeze. Thanks again Coolaroo and Amazon.Com . Amazon shipped them to me in a very nice package. I bought (5) 6' X 6' Mocca in color. The one thing I wish would be a contrasting color weight for the continuous cord so they can stay and so everyone can see them . If you have them rolled up, you can walk into cord. I'm afraid that you can get your head caught in them.
