made some difference. i put two into my case, one in one out. increase airflow. not too shabby for the price. 80mm is for when your screw holes are 3 inches apart. not measured diagonally.

I bought some of these to replace some faulty case fans that came with my desktop case. The Cooler Master fans are great and function just as you would want. Their noise is at a typical low volume that you would expect of a desktop computer. They come with adapters to the Molex-style power supply plugs, if you need them.

Dual ball bearing case fans which will last longer than the sleeve bearing fans, which was what I had in my custom built case. Moves much more airflow than my previous fans without any noticable increase in noise level. Would purchase again if I need 80mm Case Fans....Highly recommended.

I am comparing these fan to a CM 120mm fan than I also bought from amazon.
This 80mm fan moves nearly as much air as the 120mm due to spinning twice as fast. The fan also should last twice as long to the double ball bearing set up as apposed to the sleeve bearing one on the 120mm. Unfortunately these fans are from silent. The higher RPM combined to inherently noisier ball bearing set up yields noticeable noise. So if you are looking for well crafted, good looking, effective and long lasting 80mm fans, these will do well. If you are building a silent PC, theses will definelty not do. Ohh and as a plus, these fans included a 3 pin to a 4 pin molex adapter, cudos here, as the 120mm fans did have these! All in all, I recommend these fans as long as a little noise inst a great issue for you.

I bought one of these fans to help keep my system even cooler, and it is absolutely great! My PC is a lot cooler and runs at an even better performance than it ever did before. The length of the cord actually reaches to the connector on the motherboard and, if that isn't good enough, you can use the molex connector's that are provided with this item. Needless to say, if you're considering a PC case fan, this one is a must!

I bought these to install in my HTPC. The Silverstone case I bought (despite being excellent in every other regard) has sub-par fans that were too noisy for my taste. I've had good results with Cooler Master fans before, and so this one being inexpensive and rated as relatively quiet, I bought a few. The fan is well designed, and pushes a good amount of air for an 80mm fan. However, it is not as quiet as I would have liked. My fan connections are direct to a molex connector, so I didn't have the option of using the bios to slow down the fan speed. I ended up buying a fan speed controller and setting it to 50% power. Now I have VERY quit fans while still keeping the computer quite cool.
My recommendation is that if you are looking for a very quiet fan, either spend a bit more on a better fan, or invest in a fan speed controller.

These fans BLOW!,

Well, they're 80mm cooling fans as advertised. They came with molex to 3 pin adapters, which are invaluable to anyone with an older computer or one without extra 3 pin power outputs. They're fairly quiet and do their job quite well.

I bought this as a second fan for a Windows Media Center PC. The PC sits in my living room so it has to be very quiet. Based on the reviews and details, I thought this would be quiet enough. Nope. The fan is currently unplugged inside the case because it's too loud.

I bought this fan to help cool the new video card that I recently installed. Before installing the fan, the video card was reaching temperatures of up to 85 degrees. After installing the fan, temperatures never go above 53 degrees. However, this fan is very loud. It isn't ridiculously loud but it is loud enough that I have already investigated other fans and will be purchasing one soon.

I ordered these for my first HTPC build to be install in a Silverstone GD05 case. Was also replacing the stock heatsink that came with my AMD Phenom II X6 that was extremely loud. These fans were louder that the stock heatsink. Disconnected them and removed them. No use to me. If you don't mind the noise they should work well for you, but for my use in a HTPC they were too loud.
