It's a refrigerator???? No, it's a Full Tower Case!!,

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (RC-932-KKN5-GP) (Personal Computers)
This is best case that I've ever had. I wish it had a pull out motherboard tray but given the size of the case, it wasn't a necessity. The instruction manual has detailed diagrams (would of been nice if there was more wording but the diagrams give you enough insight on what to do). This is a full tower case. It can handle Micro ATX to extended ATX. It's made of steel which makes this case heavy. There are no handles to grip the case but it's sturdy enough that you can lift it from any part. It's not the prettiest of cases, but it certainly gets the job done. The case comes with 4 fans already mounted. There is no fan controller but the fans have the sockets that you can add a controller, connect it directly to the power supply unit, or connect it directly to the motherboard (if the motherboard's instructions allow it). I strongly recommend connecting the fans directly to the power supply unit. Above the large fan on your left sight (looking at the picture with the red fan facing you), there is a small clear window. It would of been nice if the window went all the way down. On the top of the case, there are connections for the USB, e-sata, power switch, reset, microphone, and speaker. You also have the option of adding wheels to the bottom of the case. I installed them and, they have a lock on them to prevent your case from moving (if the case is too heavy for the desk lol). The box that the case came in, was huge! It's the size of a suitcase. The case, seems like the size of a small suitcase. You get the speaker wire, the manual, a lot of screws, the IO panel, plastic ties, and a map that shows where to put the motherboard and all the wires go out of. For instance, if you have a ATX motherboard, the map says to place the motherboard screws in A,B,C,D,F.G,H (just an example). If you put the map on the motherboard tray, you will see what screw is what letter. The wire management system in this case is amazing. I have the EVGA SLI socket 1366 (i7) motherboard and I must say that there was so much room left in the case. Putting the motherboard in, was a snap. Laying out the wires to connect to the motherboard was easy and if you ever need to change the layout, there is enough room to work in within the case. I changed my wiring a few times until I thought it was good enough. When you turn on your system, it's not as loud as you would expect. In fact, it's quieter than my midtower that has my Core2Duo which I gave to my wife. Even when I'm playing FSX (all options set to Ultra High), it's still very quiet. I must say, the case keeps my system freezing. I left my cup of tea near my case and within minutes, I had iced tea. The readings on my motherboard and on the BIOS screen show the CPU temperature at 19-21 degrees Celsius. While playing a game for several hours, the temperature stays to 20-21 degrees. Amazing. Feeling the side of the case and it feels like a refrigerator. Great case for an great price. Yes, it could be prettier, but it does it's job! Concerning how loud this case is (if it is). I would definitely consider it not a loud case at all. With 4 huge fans; it's not an issue where you would have to turn up your speaker volume. The side vents towards the front, do a nice job "emptying" the heat coming from my hard drives, and my video card does a nice job isolating the heat generated from it and pushing it out the back. I would of chosen either this case or the Thermaltake Armor Plus case. After researching for a few weeks, everyone always pointed to this one. Yes, the Armor plus is prettier (the password for today lol) but you cannot go wrong with the CM HAF932. A great investment. Wish List for this Tower: - I wish it was aluminum - Clear window on the whole side panel (it's like a bathroom window presently- If you can see from the picture, the see-through window stops at where the fan begins) - Pull out moutherboard tray If you have any qualms or questions, feel free to ask me in the comment section. Normally when one is looking for a high end computer case to support all the latest hardware and cooling solutions, one expects to spend $200 or more, that's not the "case" with the HAF!This case has pre-drilled holes for a 3x120mm radiator on the top, it took me maybe 5 minutes to remove the top 230mm fan and screw in my radiator. Not the usual mark everything out, drill holes, and hope there are no clearance issues as you would with standard cases. The built in wiring management is a nice touch as well, most cases have one or two "cubbyholes" for wiring, this case has 6! It will also handle the latest graphics cards with plenty of room and then some! My ATI 4850 has about 6 inches of clearance to the right, definitely a good thing to have. I would recommend this case over anything else currently on the market. Cooler Master nailed this one!

This is by far the best pc case I've ever owned. High air flow is an understatement. Massive fans in front, side and top provide all the cooling you'll ever need and best of all you cab barely tell they are even running (very quite). The case is quite large(and the widest I've ever seen) giving you plenty of room for hidden cable management. The top or bottom power supply placement is also a great option, with the bottom placement allowing for airflow from the bottom. If you looking for a quality case with a lot of features and flexibility, this is it.

I bought this case after I was experiencing serious overheating problems with my two 9800GTs in a midtower case. Now I'm showing anywhere from 10-20 degree improvements on the cards in the Cooler Master Case depending if I'm at idle or running a seriously graphics intensive game.I really like the tool-less design- both the hard drive mounts and the back panel mounts for add-on cards are all done without a single screw to tighten down. The only exceptions are when you move fans around and install the roller casters (and the PSU of course). This case is huge which provides about 6 inches of clearance from by bottom card to the bottom of the case (2 way SLI board) with the PSU mounted at the top. The only drawback to top-mounting is that you'll have to remove the top 230mm fan and there's no other place to mount it. Empty, this case weighs in about 27.5 pounds but it does come with roller casters as mentioned before. The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is a the blue LED power light is so bright it illuminates the entire back of my office. Some people might find it annoying.

I have one of these cases. If you are building a high end custom PC, don't buy a cheapie case with just enough room for what you THINK you're gonna build; instead, buy a cave of a case like the HAF 932 big enough for the PC that you're ACTUALLY going to build (including all the additional PC components you'll discover you need) Some impassioned geniuses obviously designed into this case every nifty feature and expand-ability that anyone could possibly think of. This thing is a awesome friggen Humvee of a case. My cat is scared of it. My wife is scared of it. This case is obviously too sexy for my cat and too sexy for my wife. I'm glad it is sufficiently ominous looking. That will keep their greasy paws away from it. :-) As for exapand-ability, first I dropped in a huge footprint ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 mobo, with a monster overclocking-ready Zalman CNPS9900LED CPU cooler, sitting about 7" off that mobo, cooling an i7-950 Bloomfield. That stack fit and the HAF 932 didn't even blink. Remember, the HAF 932 is over nine and a half inches thick. Then I threw in FOUR 2TB sata drives in a RAID setup w/a fat LSI SAS 9260-8i 6GB/s RAID card, also attached to a 256GB SSD for good measure. Then I added TWO 5.25" DVD burners, plus a 5.25" Blu-ray burner, just in case I needed to "backup" three movies at a time. The HAF 932 digested all those into its belly like some trifling crumbs and gave me a hungry look that said "feed me more!" So I put in a 17-in-1 Memory Card Reader into another 5.25" bay. The HAF didn't even flinch. After all, it STILL had a couple of 5.25" drive bays sittin' empty, just taunting me. Next I tossed in a couple peppy Nvida GTX 580 graphics cards in dual SLI mode, each burning about 240W (max). That required me also toss in a hefty 1000W PSU. Then I was dissipatin' enough thermal energy to warm up my study room in the winter. Now I could put that space heater into storage, since my PC was handling that duty. ..but the HAF 932 just yawned and fired up its monster fans and kept its insides cool without even breaking a sweat (or making any noticeable sound) I could stuff in more, but I gave up the battle because my checking account balance is a casualty of war against the HAF 932. You see the HAF 932 won hands down in terms of its expand-ability versus my spend-ability!

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (RC-932-KKN5-GP) (Personal Computers)
This case is amazing. It surpasses cases worth two to three times as much, and many of them don't even have half the features the HAF does. In a nutshell, this is a computer builder / tinkerer's case. It is designed for easy access, amazing cable management (the ability to snake cables behind the motherboard is genius), and unsurpassed air-cooling power. This is a must-have unit if you plan to overclock, or even if you just enjoy keeping low CPU and GPU temperatures. The kicker is that it's not even a loud case- the large fans move lots of air without having to spin so fast they sound like small airplanes. Other pluses: the hard drive cages are smartly designed and tool-less, and route cables away from the fans to free up airflow. The 5.25 drives have a cool tool-less lockable system that allows for fast and easy installation. The front panel buttons and plugs are logically placed. Oh, and the case looks like a beast- this is Darth Vader's computer case- tough, smart and bad!

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (RC-932-KKN5-GP) (Personal Computers)
Pros: Large steel mesh case with large fans means cooler gear. This case is for the enthusiast who want to air-cool as well as possible and water-cool if necessary. It makes hotter chips and bigger cards easier to cool. It is also able to hold large cpu coolers like Coolermaster's V8. The huge insides make it easy for a newbie too. The price seems better than full towers with less features. If you want to over-clock, this case is for you because you can cool it. Being open, it is not the quietest case in the world but that is because you hear the insides - those big fans turn slow so are quiet.Cons: Tool-less system is more marketing than reality. My fingers hurt from turning brass thumb screws, etc. but I still needed screws to hold down my optical drives and hard drives. I also used screws to hold down the video card as their tool-less nonsense things would not even engage my BFG 280gtx double width card. They should scrap the tool-less and let us secure our gear. It's a good case even with tools. Oh yeah, don't forget the 3 mm Allen wrench to change fans on the door and up top. You have one right? The 7/64" is too small and the 1/8" Allen wrench is too big. You must also order the 230 mm fans from the coolermaster store in California, which is a minor pain because if they are out - then so are you. I can't believe I only had room for 5 hard drives before I had to put the sixth in the 3.5" add-on bay. On the other hand, I may never fill the 5 1/4" bays but it may be fun to try. Other thoughts: This is a great case for the enthusiast who is willing to plan out the grand scheme and pull it off. After you finish the build, you have plenty of place to hide wires so you don't need a modular power supply. There really is no limit to what you can do with this case. There are prettier cases that can't do what this one can. Maybe if you are just doing a mid-level build, a full tower case is a bit mammoth.

Whisper quiet, Glacier cool.,
This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (RC-932-KKN5-GP) (Personal Computers)
I've been building PCs since I was twelve and I have never, ever worked with a case as wonderful as this. Now I build gaming rigs for a little extra money and let me tell you, as long as PCs use the ATX form factor, I will always use this case.Where to begin? Lets start with the cooling. When they say High Air Flow, they mean it. The fan array is not only massive, but extremely effective and extremely quiet compared to the rows of 90mm fans that many cases use. With all the fans spinning at full capacity I never hear noise from the case unless the hard drives or my DVD-ROM drive are spinning up. As far as cooling goes, I'll just say that when I bought this case I was seriously considering a full upgrade, motherboard, processor, the works. The efficiency and layout of the fans, combined with a good aftermarket CPU heatsink/fan let me overclock another two years out of my aging CPU and video card. Also worth mentioning, while certainly not as active a role in solid air flow as the fans, this case has the best cable management arrangement I've worked with. Every SATA cable, every unused molex from the power supply, all the internal wiring fits snugly between the motherboard plate and the case's side. Its simple and intuitive, and I've never built a machine with this case where I haven't been able to manage the cables so there is an uninterrupted path for air from the top to the bottom of the case, over the mobo and video card. Such openness makes it not only cooler, but easier to work in and if you want to swap out the tinted window (which I personally prefer, huge windows and lighting can be too gaudy) you'll have a great view of your internals. Installing hardware is truly great with this case. I've got big hands and one of the things I dislike most about 90% of computer cases these days is that they don't give you enough room to work in. This case has room to spare, and even the most mammoth video card won't approach the hard drive bays. And unlike the case this replaced, there are no rough metal edges for me to inevitably cut my hands on, trying to contort them into the proper tetris shape to get at whatever arcane mounting systems they use. Which leads me nicely to the drive mounts. They're simple, none of them require tools save the optional external 2.5" mount. Hard drives are kept in racks similar to those you'd find in a good server, no rails, you just pop them into the flexible bracket and slide the drive in. They align so the connections are all facing the side plate for further ease of cable management. If that weren't enough the 5.25" bays are even simpler. Pop out the grille, slide your drive into position, push a button to lock it in place. Want to swap it? Push the button again and just slide it out. The power supply can be mounted at the top or bottom, though unless you were running two PSUs I can't see why anyone would ever mount it on the top. This case is a full tower, though, so if your PSU has inordinately short cables, be sure to measure and use extensions should you need. If you're not happy with the cooling options that the case ships with, or if you want a bit more air on the video cards for an SLI/Crossfire rig, there are options. The first, and simplest, is adding a 120mm fan to the bottom of the case, this is the only area on the case where you can put a fan that doesn't already have one there. The side panel fan can be removed and replaced with four 120mm fans. Similarly, the top fan can be removed and replaced with three 120mm fans or a liquid cooling radiator. This case makes it very simple to install liquid cooling, there is a fill port and space for a reservoir right at the top front, and two rubber gaskets for hoses at the top rear. Now for my one complaint. This is a nothing complaint to most of you but my computer sits right next to my desk, and sometimes, relaxing, I'll put my legs up on the desk, over the machine. The front USB ports just happen to be in the perfect position to be demolished if I shift in my chair wrong or bring my leg down carelessly. Within a week of owning this case I broke the top two USB 2.0 connectors and I nearly wrecked a third last week moving my chair to fix a speaker connection. Cooler Master can't exactly design a case around my clumsiness, though, can they? One consequence of just how much air flow this case provides is that it will get dustier quicker, so be sure to keep an eye on your components and clean your computer sensibly. If your rig is going to be in a place where a lot of particulate matter is about, like an unfinished basement, you will notice dust accumulating on the top of the case, particularly on the rubber mat at the front. It isn't a major issue, though, and the openness of the case has the added benefit of allowing you to peek through the top grille and see if you need to clean inside without opening the side panel first. I'd never come across a computer product that I could absolutely recommend without any reservations, but this changed that. For the money you're not going to get better results, and in return you get something that's sturdy and accommodating to just about every setup I can think of. If you're like me, you'll never even think of buying a different one. In short, buy it. Buy it now, no, now. Faster. Stop reading, go buy it, you'll thank me and all the other people who love this case later. *Note: My case is an earlier model that pre-dates USB 3.0 and therefore does not have the front USB 3.0 ports, nor the black interior. Everything else about the HAF 932 is the same.

The Cooler Master HAF 932 is a cooling master! I've been using the same older design Antec tower case for *years*. Always upgrading components, but never the case. Until recently it's never been a problem. But with bigger CPU, video cards, power supply, memory and so on, the old case just did not cut it anymore. I noticed with the last upgrade that the motherboard monitoring software was showing a system MB temp of 50c at idle. I checked all my fans (the thing had 7 80mm fans!) and all were fine. I could not find any errors so I made the choice to upgrade the case. And what a choice it was!The HAF 932 is a dream to work on. The only drawback was a non-removable motherboard tray (never had one so don't know what I'm missing). But the installation of everything was a snap - easy tool-less design, intelligent layout, and a TON of space. Full length video card? Pshhh! No problem. Lots of cables? Easy! Loads of space and entrance/exit holes in the motherboard tray to route them BEHIND for better airflow. Nice that it came with an extension for the P4 power, but a full ATX power extension would have been nice I needed one with the bottom mount PSU and I'm glad I pre-ordered it. On that note, a longer SATA cable was needed for my Blu Ray drive which I top mounted (pre-ordered as well). Other nice inclusions are caster wheels you can install, a 3.5" drive cover for using in the 5.25 bay (mesh to match everything else), zip ties for cabling, and so on. Everything was a snap... literally. The hard drives (nice to have them individually installed instead of in cages), the expansion cards (you have the option of physically screwing them down), the Blu Ray drive... everything snapped in without tools and feels more than secure. And the proof is in the temps. The same components, with the same system reporting software, has both my CPU and system board temps at 20c cooler! At full load, my board does not go over 38c where it was at 50c during idle before. That alone was well worth the price of the case, which was not bad to begine with (esp with the free Amazon shpping!) And holy cow is it quiet! Going from 7 80mm fans to these 4 behemoth fans was a treat... they are so quiet I find myself checking the speeds and temps to make sure they are working. And boy are they... My only gripe is the blue power LED - it's super bright. I took some black electrical tape and covered it, with just a small hole showing light and it's prefect now.

I wanted a full tower for my build because I had headaches with my previous mid-tower and space for multi GPUs. This thing is of course huge! Really, the pictures don't do it justice. It's big. I always get the "wow" reaction from non-techies who see it, especially in the age of tiny macbooks and netbooks.Everything was absolutely easy to install. It also seems that it is pre-built with water cooling options in mind, but will work perfectly with air which is what I have going. With more than enough space for the latest nvidia GPUs even in dual or triple sli setups My favorite thing with it are the large 4 fans that move a tremendous amount of air. So much so that I actually get a bit cold sitting next to it! The top exhaust fan is like having a small desk fan blowing at you. You can also easily replace the fans with sets of 120 mm ones for even more airflow, although I am sure the noise will rise as well. Speaking of noise, it does run quite loud but the "high air flow" designation should clue you in from the beginning. Personally I would gladly trade noise for the ability to run higher clock speeds on my i7 and GPUs. We aren't exactly building a HTPC here. Another great thing about it is the fact that the motherboard tray, despite not being removable, has a cut out to let you access the cpu back plane from the other side. I was able easily remove and replace my cooler master v8 heatsink without having to remove the motherboard or its connections from the case. Awesome. As for cons, the led power light is waaay too bright. Bright enough to be a little key chain led flash light. This can get annoying if you plan on running your comp at night folding@home or stress testing. Plus the led is blue! It doesn't match the red led on the bottom front of the case! Finally, the perforated mesh on top to accommodate the top fan, has the potential of resulting in a catastrophic water cup or bottle spill situation. Cool and shorted your precious build will be. Just make sure nobody rests their drink on your case! All in all those are minor gripes and I highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a full tower. The size, solid construction, and ease of use of it will have me using this for many many builds to come. |
