I have assembled dozens of systems, and the most fun I've had was with the HAF X. My previous personal case was the Cooler Master Cosmos, and it was my previous favorite. (Don't count out some amazing Lianli designs, which are also worth looking into.)
There have been some advancements in Cooler Master's design, to include a great amount of space on the backside hiding all your ugly wires (and helps induce better airflow).
Once the motherboard was installed, it looked great inside, almost completely devoid of wires. The only visible cords are:

- The 8-pin EATX12V plugin on the top of the mobo. The PSU does not have a cord long enough to wrap around the back and into the top. However, I will put an extension on it and fix this later.

- The SLI graphics card connectors.
... and that's it! Soooo clean inside!

There's an ample amount of space inside, and no sharp corners to cut yourself with.
It's pretty light (compared to my Cosmos), and airflow is top-notch. The temps went down over 10c for my CPU. The GPUs (GTX 780s) went down from 47c at idle to 34c. The ambient temps at my place during the summer is very warm, too!

My Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1000w PSU fits with ample space above to allow the bottom-most card to breathe. In the Cosmos, I had a Zalman 1000w that was quite large and there were only a few mm of space between the PSU and the GPU. The half-inch gap has helped with airflow tremendously.
When I finally had everything assembled and put on the side panel, I was expecting the huge fan to not fit over the video cards. There was no problem whatsoever. Out loud to no one I said, "Wow, it fits!"

I love the inclusion of casters for the bottom of the case.

I have two of these cases, one a couple years old the other 3 months old. Both are still working great and have met my upgrade needs over the last 2 years. They provide great cooling and have plenty of room for cable management. My only quarrel would be I have had 2 large fans start making noise - normal bearing ticks. I have the system on a lot so the hour count is probably quite high.

The hot swap bays are great. I swap multiple SSD daily and it is a must.

It fits large gfx cards well. Some have noted the GTX 680 doesn't fit, which doesn't make sense because I have a EVGA GTX 680 FTW part # 02G-P4-3686-KR and it fits perfectly in both cases. I have 2 different HAF X, one 2 years old and one of the newest revision, no problems in either. I assume that is mainly users error in those circumstances, such as forgetting the rear mounting screws, maybe just individual unit or card defects.

Great case, hope to get a couple more years out of each!

This is a very well designed case, and with a few fixes it could get 5 stars...
First, to be complete, it needs 2 more fans. The rear top fan, and a fan near the middle of the mobo to push air across the vcore. (If you have water cooling this area has low airflow in this large case without an extra fan.)

For the rear top fan I bought the Cooler Master MegaFlow 200mm Red LED Computer Case Fan (R4-LUS-07AR-GP)
For the vcore cooling I bought an L bracket for mounting fans at MicroCenter... Can't find it on Amazon but you can find it here: [...]
I removed the magnets and screwed it directly into the case and added a red 120mm fan to blow directly over the vcore and out the back 180mm fan.

As far as the design of the case it's self it is a great case. The case allows great airflow. It has tons of room to work. There is more than enough space for full sized video cards even with the door fan. It also has a nice design for hot swapping hard drives. Finally, it comes with mounts for SSDs. The only thing that the design really was lacking is the length of the door fan's power cable. I had to add an extension to make pulling to door off a bit less tricky...

Finally lets discuss the quality control issues...
It seems CoolerMaster has some SERIOUS issues with QC... Myself, as well as several others I have suggested this case to, buying from multiple different vendors, have received cases with fans running much lower than the spec speeds, and will not run at the RPM they are rated for. I personally had 3 bad fans in my own case, and my friends had even more. The RMA process is long, drawn out, annoying, and takes forever.

I love this case, but I gave it a 3 star because the side fan started grinding 3 months after I got the case! Now I have to buy a new 200mm fan for it, which is going to cost $20. I would recommend this case to any PC gamer, but I wish the fans were better quality!

I bought this case as I was in the market for a full tower. I loved the features this one offered for the price. The one thing I did not research was the ability to mount the Corsair Hydro Series H110 280 mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler . Turns out the top will NOT support the 140mm fans of the h110. My friend and I had to machine little bits of steel to be able to mount the radiator. Also of note the opening on the back side is too small to just mount the cooler bracket, we had to pull the motherboard out again. Other than those 2 issues I do love the case.

Edit: Today (09-18-2013) I went to use one of the front USB 3.0 ports and it broke. I tried it upside down like the other one and right side up and neither fit properly, then when I thought it was going to go it snapped. Had to unplug the header for the 3.0 as it was saying a power surge happened on my USB hub.
