When I first saw this case, I knew I had to have it. The design is so unique and portable. Coming from a compact mid-tower case with 6 fans, this case is able to equal and even outright best the temps for my CPU and GPU under the same torture tests. Admittedly I did replace the 2 120mm fans with my green LED ones(which move more air) and added a 3rd 120mm fan in the back as well. Being a hybrid test bench, the open design really works and lets your motherboard+components stand out. Removable motherboard tray is tremendous as well.

I'll get right into things that you need to be aware of should you choose to use this case. I held of purchasing this case right away so I can see how it does outside of site reviews and in the wild.

It is highly recommended that you build in this case with a modular or partially modular power supply. The reason being that even with my modular power supply the room in the lower portion of the case (where the business end of the cabling occurs)can get pretty crowded. Although you can remove the 2.5 drive bay mount to free up space.

The X-Dock that holds 2x 3.5 or 2.5 drives in the front are connected to a PCB in the back which is powered by a molex pin. You can use this to connect your hard drives and avoid cable clutter but reviews from another site had complained that it had killed off their drives. Whether or not this is user error (which I tend to think it is) is moot so I decided to unscrew it and connect them the old fashioned way just to be safe.

People who also had the earlier batch also complained that the power and reset buttons were screwed on too tightly which resulted in random restarts and powering off of their rigs.

For me computers go a little beyond just a gamer/hobby. I am a programmer by profession and therefore don't need the latest and greatest just the most stable with the best performance possible. As such I am always making upgrades as needed to my computer. That being said I have to say that out of all the years I've bought from amazon(warehouse is like 40 min away) this is the first time I've been inspired to get on and write a review. So Ill try to make it good.

Details Details Details!

This by far is the best case I have ever...and I mean EVER used(did i say ever?). The manufacture thought of everything and I found very very little wrong with the case. Even the covers for the openings for the pci slots where clearly coated and included thumb screws INSIDE FOR THOSE! The plastic handles you see on the side are reinforced with a steel reinforcement that's connected to the frame. The space optimization inside is very well thought out. The 3.5 inch front removable bays are genius and the covers for the front drives are well designed and alot more sturdy feeling than rigs ive seen twice its price. As far as quality is concerned they spent alot of time thinking of EVERYTHING. Small things youd NEVER think of yourself. Like how they include a WASHABLE/Removeable air filter under your powersupply to filter dust from clogging up your fan. Then they lifted the power supply just a little off the case...which is perfect in case you sit the case on the floor, the power supply wont burn up from lack of airflow from the carpet blocking the airway on the bottom.

Just...wow! I mean as I sit here and look through this case I find more and more stuff I notice.

I picked up one of these for a friend who was in love with the design. I didn't like it at first, but after putting it together for him I ordered one for myself the same day. I'm impressed by how spacious it is for being so small, but it was a stressful experience setting it up.

The sheer amount of components this thing can fit is amazing given its size. It fits the Maximus V Formula (which is technically considered Extended-ATX) with a Corsair H80i and two XFX 7970 with ease. Since cable management is mostly done on the bottom it's easy to make the case neat and tidy. It's the easiest case to work on post-build because you can get at your components from three angles. The handles are reinforced by metal inside the case, so it's unlikely it'll ever be an issue holding the weight of the parts.

With all this being said, I ran into a few irritations when piecing my particular rig together.

First off, it does not like the Corsair AX series power supplies. There needs to be an extra millimeter or so of space for the grill to fit. I spent an hour trying to figure out the best way to install my (fairly expensive and high-quality) Corsair AX850 power supply in the safest manner possible. I ended up taking the grill off of the fan because there's a filter on the bottom of the case that blocks access anyways. Not what I'd have liked to do, but it works.

On the mesh top panel, Cooler Master has been kind enough to put holes for a 200 or 230mm fan... of their own brand... The holes won't line up with most other fans of the size. Antec Big Boy? I can get two screws to line up. Corsair 200mm from a 600T? One screw. Cooler Master MegaFlow? No problem!
