Summary: I'm very impressed with this, and purchased 2 for myself and one for my brother, which probably says more than anything else.

I've had many adapters like this, and so far this one is the best as it fits (crams) 4 drives into a small space with a fan.
It's a bargain, especially since similar enclosures only hold 3 hard drives.

I did NOT have a problem installing it in 2 different computer cases, but things like this can be unpredictable. So as a first step, before loading it with drives, check and see if it fits your particular case and situation. Also some people will realize after ordering that they don't have three extra 5.25 inch [DVD size] slots available, especially in smaller cases. I can imagine people ordering this and only realizing later they don't have room.

Okay, it fits where you'd normally have three DVD drives, but gives you room for four hard drives. The enclosure itself is designed to go inside the computer, but I'm also using one as standalone external enclosure to conveniently mount 4 drives outside my computer. This probably sounds crazy to some, but works well for me when I needed to add hard drives and didn't have any room inside. Take note this is not particularly attractive on the outside, and you need to run both power and data cables to it, but I don't care about as long as I had extra drives and some cooling, and it runs out of the way on a shelf next to the computer.

The fan gets very mixed comments from me: it's quiet which is great, but the airflow is also definitely on the low side.

I purchased this to fill in three 5.25" drive slots and get better air flow in my case. This cage is very well made with rubber grommets to dampen vibration. Since I am using it in a Corsair 600t, I chose to not use the Cooler Master face plate. My only serious complaint is that the front fan is not removable. They used metal press in pins almost like a rivet which is very inconvenient since the fan has blue LED's and everything else in my case is white. (I purchased this knowing about the blue, but assumed it would be possible to remove the fan) It looks like it might be possible to popout the plastic retainers and solder in white leds however. For $25 I am very happy with this product, I just wish the fan was removable or they sold only the cage.

Quick install in my Cooler Master 690 II Advanced PC case. Good airflow keeps my drives around 30-32C. Blue LED fan matches the front fan in the case. Installation was easy since I used the tool-free feature of the PC case. Nice tight fit, no rattling or movement of the cage at all (some other tool-free PC cases don't provide a tight enough fit, and can allow some front to back movement of installed devices on the right side unless screwed in, defeating the tool free concept. The CM 690 II doesn't have that problem). As others mentioned you do need to remove the cage to add drives. Since this won't happen often this is not an issue. Good fit, good finish, good looking in the case. Definitely recommend!

This is a great addition to any standard computer case but looks especially good in a Cooler Master case. I already had a Black Cooler Master Centurion 534 and this hdd cooler really fits in nicely. Hard drives must be screwed into the module and then that gets mounted to the case. The case is isolated from the module by cushioned feet that separate the drives from the case. The blue lights in the front of the module are a lot more pronounced than the lights already in the front of the case. However it all fits together very nicely. I can't say that I took very scientific measurements of the tempatures before and after but the BIOS tempature readings dropped about 10 degrees celcius after instalation which I find quite impressive. All in all it is very well designed and easy to install. The fan also has a dust filter on the front of it. The fan has a standard chassis fan three wire plug and a four wire standard molex converter is included.

This is an excellent hard drive module. I use it in a HAF 932 case with 4 x 2TB HDD per enclosure. It looks great with the fan LEDs and all, and although air doesn't flow as fast as I expected, temperature is not a problem.

I bought this for my media server that runs 24/7. The three hard drives didn't run exceptionally hot since I had rigged a fan to blow across them. However, it looked "unprofessional" and since I was rebuilding that computer anyway I decided that it could be functional and pleasant to look at.

The construction, materials and looks of this drive module are all top-notch. A removable filter would be nice but for the price I'm not complaining. Installation of the drives is simple, and installation of the module into the computer case is equally easy.

The fan is slow moving and nearly silent but moves enough air to get the job done. Before the installation of this module, the hdd temps (with just a fan blowing on them) were 99F, 100F and 97F. After module installation the temps are 91F, 91F and 86F. It doesn't seem like a big difference, but without active cooling these drives would easily reach 120F. Effective and stylish, can't beat that.

Recommended.
