4.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded my expectations
Excellent finish. Would be better if made of aluminum, but the cost would not have been so low. If you don't want to spring for a Lian Li aluminum case, this would be a good alternative. Everything fits well. Good design. Easy to install motherboard and storage devices.

3.0 out of 5 stars 420W Power Supply Worthless
No problems with the case but the 420W power supply that came with mine has a single weak 12V rail at 16A. Great for an old Pentium system, anything newer think of it as a 250W power supply.

Title says it all.

The front of the case is very thin plastic. When plugging in USB's or audio connectors in the front of the case the entire front bends in about an inch. They ports haven't popped out of the case....yet.

The power supply worked for 1 day. This isnt a gaming rig...its a AMD 3200+ and an older PCI-E ATI 1550 which requires no external power.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bad Power Supply, February 19, 2010

Built system and first power up fans run but nothing else. After much testing found everything worked with an old 350 ATX power supply.
Only a good deal if it works.

Update: CHECK the switch on the power supply. After I replaced it, I noticed it was set to 230V.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strong case - weak power supply, January 13, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cooler Master RC-310-BKR2 Elite 310 ATX, MATX Mid Tower Case without Window with 420w Power Supply (Black/Blue) (Personal Computers)
The case is easy to use, and doesn't contain the sharp edges that most sadistic case designers engineer into the tighter spots of the case. It looks decent, has ample room for expansion and cooling, and doesn't weigh much. The front ports are useful, the tolerances all meet standards, and the thumb-screw takedown is a nice touch. That's the good news.

The bad news is that, as multiple other reviews state, you may find the included power supply inadequate. An i5 quad-core, Intel board, two SATA III disks, 16GB of PC3-10666 RAM, and a big cooling fan worked just dandy.

Adding two DVD-RW drives prevented the system from booting - it couldn't find the boot disk. I checked / reseated all of my power and SATA connections, tried again, same. Removed one of the DVD drives, and it booted. Tried the second DVD drive alone, still booted. Added both DVD drives back into the mix, failed to find the boot disk. I replaced the power supply with a better, name-brand 480W unit, left the system as configured, and all is well now.

I'm not slamming the case that hard for the power supply issue - it's still a reasonably-priced case, and your power requirements may be less than mine. Suggest that if you try it, and you find that some of your devices don't spin up properly, dropping in a beefier power supply will get you there.

3.0 out of 5 stars cooler Master RC-310 Elite Mid Tower, January 9, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cooler Master RC-310-BKR2 Elite 310 ATX, MATX Mid Tower Case without Window with 420w Power Supply (Black/Blue) (Personal Computers)
I rate this tower a 3 star because the power supply that comes with the case has only 2 sata power connectors and they are only about 5" apart. Most power supply like ultra and thermatake comes with 4 or sometimes 6 sata connectors. When i tried installing my hard drive and my dvd drive i have to relocate my hard drive underneath the dvd drive and the dvd drive have to be install all the way down to the last bottom part of the bay which i didn't do that, instead i ordered an extra 2 sets (1 set comes with 2 sata connectors/6" apart) of sata adapter connector for my 2nd dvd drive and for my main hard drive on top of my back up hard drive that are both located underneath the floppy drive bay, which the bay is facing outward (bay is facing the case slide cover)for easy access. The front panel of the case is plastic that is soft around the usb and the audio output area. For extra $5-$10 just get a better kind of case or it is a personal preference. I hope this review helps.

3.0 out of 5 stars Box is great...but the PSU?, August 11, 2011

So the case itself is fine. Fits my ASUS board with all the PCI add-ons and drives. I plug everything in and flip the PSU switch...nothing. Try different cables, outlets, systems...nothing. Probably going to have to return it. Sucks! Spent $65 on the case...just to have it be replaced...

Box looks great. I added blue led fan and led lights in the front as well as a blue backlit keyboard. It looks sweet in the dark. Only down side is that theres no sd/ memory card slots and limited to 2 usb ports.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really nice budget case, but throw away the power supply, April 30, 2011
This review is from: Cooler Master RC-310-BKR2 Elite 310 ATX, MATX Mid Tower Case without Window with 420w Power Supply (Black/Blue) (Personal Computers)
I really like the look of this case; it's well designed inside and out. It has adequate fan mounts, plenty of room for drives, and has two front-facing external USB ports at the bottom of the unit. I've built other systems with cases that have USB ports at the very top of the case and I've come to not like that design because your USB cables will get in the way of your CD/DVD drive trays.

However, please do yourself a favor and put the included power supply directly into the trash. It's a really weak, no-name (Thermal Master) supply that does not have enough horsepower for any modern system build. I learned this the hard way and I really should have known better. Buy the case if you like the case, not because it's a case that includes a PSU. Be sure to purchase a high quality supply like a PC Power & Cooling, Corsair, or Antec. Think about it, a good 500W-600W power supply will cost more than this case does, so you can't expect any kind of quality from the PSU.
