Well, I went out and bought this cooler, installed it in around 20 minutes, and checked my 3.4ghz idle temps..... 24 to 26 degrees celcius!!!!!

PRO: - This Water Cooler cost as much as a good air cooler, but water cooling is better if you want to go this route.

For the price it is indeed a great pump and works as advertised. IF you have a clicking noise from the pump then you have it in the wrong sysfan port. The pump should not be plugged into the cpu fan port. The radiator fan plugs into the cpu fan port and the pump is plugged into the sysfan 1 port. This is the correct way to do it.

Be carful as the screw caps for securing the pump can be striped easily making is not be able to go on or come off once applied.

I am reviewing to let others know that you will find it hard to use this CPU cooler with the Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z No PS Mid Tower Gaming Case. It will not mount to the rear fan outlet. I had to mount it facing up (glad I had the option). Its not great but it works. This was a tight fit with my ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX motherboard, as the CPU power input will be pushed up against the reservoir, and the fan inputs will be hard to get once your heatsink is installed. I still have the stock rear fan installed. Also it was a pain in the a** to get the actual heatsink on to the CPU. It can be done but with some finagling. Not the ideal liquid cooling setup for this case but it works. I like that I didn't have to take out the motherboard to install the mounting brackets for the heatsink.

I do audio recording and my new CPU fan was super loud and ran hot. After installing this cooler my temps plummeted. I cannot over heat it now. It still was a little loud, so I replaced the stock fan with an Enermax T.B Silence 120mm fan. It is now silent. I cannot perceive it making any sound at all.

The install is easy for someone who knows their way around computers. It would be a challenge for someone's first build.

I will never go back to air cooling, this works way to well and is so inexpensive!

I didn't do any temperature analyses on how much this cooled my unit, but I want to remark a bit on the installation. The manual shows you how to set things up properly for the most part, but when you use this for an AMD CPU (Intel as well?) you'll need to put screws into the bracket with plastic clips over them. (By the way, the unit is not cheaply constructed and the clips are not throw away stuff either.) When you put that part together, be sure you use the silver screws that have arrows (simple isosceles triangle) heads on them. Those don't have any way to screw them in, but the arrow points away from the bracket so that the screw's keyed section sits in place on the bracket. You then put the plastic clip over that screw.

I know that what I just said is a bit difficult to understand, but as long as you use the only long silver screws in the package instead of the black ones for the bracket, you're good to go. You'll see what I mean if you buy this unit.

upgraded from an FX-4100 to an FX-8350.

The stock fan/heatsink that came with the 8350 ran under stress test at 122-132.8°F At 4ghz

With this Cooler master, after 15 minutes striaght my 8350 got to a max of 90°f At 4ghz

Install was a liitle bit of a pain, easier if you have an extra pair of hands. Connect the fan and heatsink after the cpu, makes it a hell of a lot easier. the fan it comes with is also very quiet.

Over all I'm very happy i bought this intercooler. will be recommending this one to friends looking to get an intercooler.

Based on reviews from not only this site, but others as well, I order this unit. Installed I7-4790K chipset with Z97-PRO (Wi-Fi AC) and Bios indicated a constant temperature of 32C. Cooler works as advertised.

I wish you had an option to choose the LED color prior to buying, other than that this product is priced well and certainly does the job that it's supposed to do. It also looks neat.
