4.0 out of 5 stars Simple Power Supply
My entertainment center is getting full of various A/V components and starting to heat up. I decided to cut a hole in the back of the cabinet to install a quiet PC fan for ventilation. I ordered this product to power the fan and it works like a charm.

CG 110v AC to 12v DC 4pin molex Power Adapter would be a better product with an on off switch

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed for cabinet fans, April 10, 2011

This power supply is exactly what I needed to run the two 120mm PC case fans I installed in my home theater cabinet where my receiver and cable box are installed (one for intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top). I plugged the power supply into the switched outlet on the receiver to ensure adequate cooling when it's running, no issues at all - I highly recommend it!

Finally found one of these that would power a hard drive AND fans. I have purchased different brands of this kind of power cord from online and physical stores, some coming with a usb to sat adapter. Most of the time, the power cord would only power an hdd, not a case fan, or any other molex device. Not sure why they do this, they all are rated the same...5v/12v 2amps...I bought a KGear branded one that powered hdd fine, but would barely spin a fan. THIS PRODUCT powers both perfectly.

This power supply is great! I have powered a controller and three fans with it no problem. I recommend highly for active thermal management systems in cabinetry.

I bought this item because my original one, (for IDE external drives), is used to run fans to keep my projector cooler. Now this one is used to run the external hard drives for storage, etc...
Worked fine with my extra IDE Drives. Came fairly quick. Decent price.

I bought this power supply along with the matching fan controller to power two fans in my entertainment center. I have electronics that are enclosed and needed to keep them cool. The power supply works as advertised and I don't have any issues.

I bought this for wiring cathodes behind my monitors. Man, was it worth it! This little adapter certainly did its job with little ease. I have 4 Logisys 15" cold cathodes (sound activated) hooked up to this adapter and I know it most likely can do more.

The only problem I found is that it maybe could have a power switch on it (as many other people have stated too). But all in all, it is a sturdy and great product all around!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, June 17, 2011

So, in the current day, many know that the Xbox 360 overheats and causes the RROD, well, in an act of desperation as I have seen my previous Xbox 360 systems fall down this same path, I set up a ventilation system consisting of two fans radiating air in and out of the machine. After stopping by Radioshack, I picked up two CPU fans that looked as if they would work quite well. I got home and sat for two minutes until I recognized that the fan required a 4 pin molex power system. So, I decided the CG 110 Ac to 12v DC 4 pin molex power adapter would be the best fit. With its ease of use and quality build, I am still happy to keep it in my home.

I needed a fan to cool some electronics, this power adapter + a simple fan controller and presto, heat control. I have been running a fan for months with no issue. Set it up, hide your cables and forget it's even there like I do.
