Easy to assemble and install.
Mojonconpelo
It keeps my high output A/V receiver at room temp, and the A/V runs hot, it also manages to keep other components inside the cabinet cool as well.

The fans were very quiet and the thermal controller worked EXCELLENT.

I have a little AV cabinet that held in all the heat from my PS3, xBox 360 and reciever. it caused the reciever to die and was a very costly repair. These fans make all the difference. They are very quite, you can hardly hear them running from 10 feet away, and the overall noise is very low, it does not bother you when they are on or take away fromt the vewing or gaming experience. They are thermistatically controlled to turn on and off at 80 degrees which makes sure they are only running when they are needed.

Great product, would recommened.

I was looking for a cabinet exhaust fan kit for my cabinet which includes Dish HD DVR and external USB Hard Drive in one shelf, PS3 with another external USB Hard Drive in another shelf of the cabinet with other components like audio receiver, dvd multi changer, dvd recorder in other shelfs of same cabinet.
Many times dish receiver switches itself off due to overheat in the cabinet. Similar problem with PS3.
I bought this CabCool1203 kit and installed in first shelf contaning dish hd receiver and usb hard drive. Although first I thought the assembly will be complex but it was so easy after watching the video on YouTube (and even with instruction that comes with kit). This product works perfectly. Fans comes on automatically as son as temperatures goes above 86F and switches off at 81F. Recommend it to everyone who has hard drive based electronics in the closed cabinets.
I am going to buy one more of these kits now for my PS3 shelf also.
Thanks CoolerGuys.

So far, so good. I bought this to cool a tube amplifier in my Salamander Designs audio cabinet. Before I bought these fans the internal temps were getting up around 100-110+ even with the mesh doors and the back of the cabinet removed. With the fan I was able to bring the temps down to 84 (in an 80 deg room) in short time. The fans are VERY quite (more than expected) and the thermostat works well. Assembly was a breeze with the included hardware and took only about 15 min. I would say braiding the cable from the fans actually took more time than putting the unit together. The only CON I can think of is the plastic panel it comes with is a little light but once mounted it doesn't make any difference at all. I would buy this again without a second thought.

Works great so far after 30 days of use. Only negative aspect, it is a little pricey in my opinion. Installed easily, love the automatic thermostat feature.

My husband bought this fan to install in the back of our 90" TV console. He is a techie so we have a lot of electronics in there. Other than when he has 12 hour LAN parties the glass doors don't need to stay open. This fan quietly and effectively deals with the heat build up.

I recently purchased a Yamaha RX-V671 7.1-Channel Network AV Receiver for my home theater set up. Because of furniture selection, its location would be cramped (~2" on top and 3" on the bottom). The front was open, but the back was closed except for a hole to run the cables. When I first got everything set up, the receiver was VERY hot after an afternoon of watching TV and movies. I knew I needed to get the receiver cooler or it'd be dead in no time.

After looking around at various options I decided on the Cabcool1203. I thought about the two fan model, but figured why not spend a few bucks more and get 50% more cooling power. I also liked that it has the thermosensor as my receiver doesn't have a switched outlet and I didn't want the fan all on the time as I don't watch much TV during the week so it'd be a waste. I thought about a DIY system, but liked the ease and convenience of a kit like this.

The kit was fairly easy to put together once I got it. My biggest gripe is that there were some nuts and bolts missing that attach the fans to the plastic plate. Luckily I had some others that worked, but for $90 all the parts should be there! And speaking of price, at $90 this is over priced IMO. It's 3 computer fans, a plastic cutout, and a switch. Doesn't seem like it should cost that much.

I used a jigsaw to cut out the back and mounted the fans so that they pulled air out rather than blowing air in. Got everything set up and watched some movies. After about 30 minutes, the fans kicked on indicating the receiver was getting warm. After another hour I checked the receiver and it was still warm, but definitely much much cooler than before.

I have a closed-glass-door-front/closed-wood-panel-back (except for the wire access holes) entertainment center; with a Directv HR34 DVR and a "high-current" Sony ES AVR producing the preponderance of the undesirable heat. Prior to the Cabcool-1203 install, the HR34 was reporting 124F-126F; after the install, 108F (ambient room temp was 76F).

I used a Makita XVJ03Z cordless jigsaw to make the back access provision/hole for the cooling fans. I also drilled some large ventilation holes for the lower shelves to let the rising heat reach the cooling/exhaust fans (blowing outward)

The assembly was easy. The fan controller has two bright LEDs (function status indicators) which I subdued with some dark film (Dim It light dimming sheets)--now I can see real-time fan status where the LED brightness matches my other AV component indicators.

The thermocouple control is spot on. However, even with the components turned-off, there is enough heat to cause the cooling fans to cycle on/off periodically--it is doing its job.

Once installed, I can detect only minimal noise. I wish it were quieter; however, I think the tradeoff for cooler AV components is well worth the cost, effort, and minor airflow background noise. Using a sound meter app, the ambient noise floor measured 26db and increased to 34db when the cooling fans are on; as measured from my seated position at 13.5 feet in front of the entertainment center.
