No, this is not sweeter than honey nor regular sugar nor even artificial sweetener. However, it has the maple flavor that I need to add to certain winter cocktails (hot buttered rum, replacing some of the dark brown sugar with this) and to tea. If you are expecting something super potent and super maple, like maple sugar candy, this ain't it. It's what you'd expect from something that is pure and not artificially enhanced with other sugars or maple flavoring. I'm satisfied and I think anyone would be IF they have proper expectations.

I have substituted this maple sugar in recipes (2/3 cup maple sugar = 1 cup cane sugar) with much success. Great product.

I wasn't sure exactly what to do with Maple Sugar, so I just started adding it to my everyday baking items. It adds a nice warm flavor to cookies/pancakes/breads, etc. Blends well and tastes great on top of oatmeal.

Looking for something else when I stumbled on this sugar. Thought, "what the heck, give it a try". I love the packaging that allows for spoon or sift. The sugar itself does not clump and dissolves well. I've tried it on hot cereal and pork & beans. It is delicious and adds that something special for your palate to enjoy. Buy with confidence and prepare to be delighted.

I really like this maple sugar. I put it on oatmeal and the slight crunch is really a nice contrast to the mushy oatmeal. The sugar is sweet, but not cloyingly so. I would definitely recommend it.

I love this maple sugar! It is great sprinkled on top of cookies, or other baked goods, before baking. I really like to mix it with some cinnamon to put on my buttered toast....Mmmmmmm good! You can use it for so many things. And the price here on Amazon makes it hard to pass up...especially if you do the subscription option!

This product is wonderful and a great buy. I use the subscription service to get an even better price. I use this sugar for baking as well as for cereal etc. When I bake with it, I turn it into a powder by putting it in my blender. That way it disolves easier in cookies, muffins and other baked goods.

This stuff is fantastic. I use it for nearly all of my baking and as the sweetener for a "regionally famous" mayan hot chocolate. I have this on Amazon subscribe-and-save and get a 15% discount buying that way. The crazy thing is, though, that this is less than 1/2 the price of my local retailer even WITHOUT the discount.

This is just yummy. I used in CC cookies instead of brown and white sugar. WOW they were good.

Last fall I visited Quebec City and fell in love with maple syrup. Now I'm back home and would like to do some baking, only problem is finding good and affordable maple sugar. I found it with Coombs. No wonder, I already use the syrup they produce. This maple sugar is delicious and wonderful in baking. Loved it.
