Unlike some reviewers, I found that this product fulfilled my expectations completely. The noise while the Cooper Cooler was operating did not seem any louder than the noise a microwave makes while running. While water and ice must be added to the cooler, the amount of ice recommended will actually cool several drinks. Far less ice is required than the manual recommends if you only want to cool one, two, even three or four drinks. Additionally, the tailgating model's adapter comes with an extra-long cord so that you're not forced to sit in the front seat of a car while using it, risking spilling water and ice all over the place. I bought this product as a gift for my brother, but have had ample experience using his, and will probably buy one for myself.

Had one of the first Cooper Coolers to come of the line a couple of years ago and loved it. This new one works even better, and the ability to use it for tailgating makes it perfect.

This is a great appliance. Haven't used for tailgating, but it works great for average size wine bottles and sodas. Faster than portable ice chest with 50% ice and 50% water mix. Having said that, it doesn't accommodate large (round, girth) bottles, such as champagne bottles and XL wine bottles (doesn't do girth not length).

I love this item solely for the fact that if I have a warm drink of nearly any kind I can chill it in a matter of minutes. That having been said its drawbacks have just caused me to start keeping more things in the fridge.

Problems:
It's loud, generally from the noise of the bottle or can spinning but even the pump and water when used in the "no-spin" mode can be a bit annoying.

You have to fill it with ice, for how much the thing costs I don't want to fill it with ice! I just want to plug it in and go! That may not seem annoying but do it a few times and don't forget to empty the water and you'll see.

Overall if you need to chill things quickly (and I mean quickly) this will do the trick but don't expect it to be quiet or very convenient.

Having the Cooper Cooler HC02.C Tailgater Rapid Beverage Chiller is fun. It sure beats having your warm wine or beer being cooled in the freezer in time for a party. I just throw in the ice and add some water and put in my beverage. I could have my nice drink ready in an average of 5 minutes! Perfect!

Great to have chilled wine in 6-7 minutes. Easy to use. A little noisy but did not disturb party or interfer with conversation.

Great concept, great product, but then it suddenly stopped working after only a year (about 20 uses).

This cooler is awesome to get a super chilled beverage (like white wine or beer) just moments after you get home from the store buying it. My only compliant is that I didn't realize how HUGE the plug was. I suppose it's because you can take it with you for tailgating, but when we use it in our kitchen (where it nearly always resides), the giant transformer in the wall is really ugly. Plan to store it in a cupboard rather than out on your counter.

Works as stated...gets wine from room temp to 40 degrees in about 6 minutes. Way cheaper than a wine refrigerator to operate.

My Dad bought this chiller for me as a gift. The first one came and it was not working at all when plugged in the regular outlet, but worked fine when plugged in the car outlet. Since we wanted this for use at home, we called amazon.com and they told us to return this item and they shipped a new unit to us fast. Well, the second unit came and it has the same problem -- not working when plugged inside! Yes, we tried different outlets (the ones other appliances work when plugged in), but still the unit is not working. We'll just return it and buy something else.
