I say good product because that is just what it is... It is good... Sensor does work and it was a piece of cake to set up... The sensor doesn't quit reach the distance I would've liked, but it does the job just fine... I tell you what it doesn't get any easier to install... I was going to run wiring for a motion spot light but then found this product... It was great... So wasy to set up...

1 star off for motion sensor distance/degree coverage.

Pros:
- outdoor light becomes a motion activated light.
- No change required to install
- has three options to set the time for 4 min, 12 min or ON all the time.
- it has an option for a second socket
- It does not go on during daylight :-)

Cons:
- The Motion sensor doesn't quite reach the distance I would've liked. (See Update)
- Not quite happy about the 180 degree.
- Cord is little bit short

Others:(NOT an product issue)
- Tried to fit it inside of an outdoor glass enclosed fixture light. Its little bit bigger and my bulb is outside the glass fixture. It would more appropriate to use it without any fixture.

- I placed the motion sensor under a shade so that during storm and bad weather the motion sensor does not cover with anything like snow....

Update on 01/15/2013
- Motion Sensor is Not that bad. Its enough for me/ my purpose. Covers at least 12/15 feet.

I've had two of these (or, at least, devices that look exactly like these) for 12 or 13 years. I've relied on them to light my way into the house and warn me of approaching visitors, and they've performed well. They are sensitive enough for my use and even detect the odd wayward cat wandering into the garage and heavy rainfall on stormy nights.

I've noticed in the last few months that they don't seem to be quite as sensitive as they once were. They don't always detect motion around them. That's OK. They've outlasted two vehicles, more computers than I care to count, one dishwasher, and a personal relationship. That's a pretty good track record.

I'm relieved to know that they are still available, and I plan to order them again.

All you have to be able to do is screw in a light bulb and a couple of screws. It is great. I haven't had it very long but it's been below freezing and I haven't had any problems.

I got 3 sensors. I used them with 60W and 100W with no problems. I have them angled different ways to cover all the necessary areas and they work very nice. You might have to play with the sensitivity and sensor angles for max effect. If it stops working check the lightbulb first. I do not have to leave the outside light on in the morning anymore.
One thing - on very hot days if the sensor is not set on highest setting it might not turn on, or turn on when you are closer than usual.

I ordered this to be used in our mudroom as there is no light there to turn on or off. It does a great job. Occasionally we have to wave a hand for it to see us, but not often. I'd recommend it.

This is a replacement for a motion light I had for 15 years. It works perfectly. It is easy to install on my floodlight. It came right on. It is easy to adjust. Hope I works for a long time.
