I'm a buyer (among other things) for a mid-size printing facility and needed a better light solution for press cleanup in power outages. I found these and thought they looked cool, so I bought four of them. Well, they came in today, and everyone likes them so much (bright, different configuration possibilities, strong magnets plus a hook, rechargeable), I had to order three more for different areas in the shop, in addition to emailing the link so employees could purchase them for personal use. Feels very well-built, and if the battery lasts the two hours that they claim, this is an all-around winner!
EDIT - since the initial review we've put these to the test in an industrial environment, and they haven't let any of us down. Also, we decided to test the battery life to see just how long we'd get out of a full charge. Individual LEDs started to give out after FIVE HOURS of continuous power. Fantastic.

In my job I work in a lot of poorly lit spaces, specifically crawl spaces. Originally I was just going to buy an ordinary drop light until I saw an add for this light in either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics. Anyway I did some research on the product and most owners were pleased with it so I decided to buy one for myself. For a drop light the price is a bit steep, $42.00 plus $7.00 for shipping. But for what this light can do it was worth the price.
The first crawl space I went into I turned the light on and it lit up the majority of the crawl space. I thought to myself maybe because it's mid-day some light is seeping into the crawl space. I turned the light off and I couldn't see more than a few inches in front of my face. That day I ran the light for 45 minutes to an hour off the internal battery and never did the light dim, it just kept on going. Since then I have used it several times and it has always come through. The magnetic back and hook are especially handy when you want light to shine at a specific area. When it comes to charging I always use the DC charger. My work van has DC lighter sockets that always get power even when the engine is off. So I ran the cable from the front, past the passenger seat, and through a hole in the bulkhead in my van to the rear of my van. I use the magnetic back to stick it to one of the walls and it stays constantly charged, ready to go whenever I need it. The only thing this product really could use is a dimmer switch. It produces so much light that a dimmer switch would allow to use only the amount of light you need so you can get more run time out of the batter. Never the less I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a cordless drop-light.

I have found this to be very bright, very compact and love using it so far. Having magnets was a great idea. I stuck it to the ceiling of a metal fireplace while cleaning and then drilling holes to run an LP gas line.. Then used it in an attic of an old business that was huge and had many different areas.. It clearly and brightly showed my way to a leak in the roof i was looking for ! Cant wait to use it doing automotive projects as it will get into places my big fluorescent work lites wont !
UPDATE... After using a few times, it seems that it only stays very bright for a VERY SHORT TIME... Then it LOSES its power giving very little light ! Too bad. I hope you dont have this problem !
